  1. Met Spring is 10 days away from being half over so winter will be here before you know it :-).
  2. Had some light frost in Pen Mar. Second morning in a row.
  3. I did not get out of my car in that section so did not see the Beavers but the large mud pit shocked me a bit. I did not notice it when driving by there a couple months ago. Was probably talking or something.
  4. On the 12Z Euro, MDT breaches 60 this Thursday then fails to get over that temp the rest of the run through the next Thursday. At the start of that period, into the weekend, the highs and low all stay between 50 and 59 and then the second half of that period the temps stay between 43 and 50 the entire time.
  5. Scary times. I was with my family stationed out of the country (dad in the Military) so I was watching from afar. I was 11. I understand that dozens of unfortunate children were born with birth defects from the radiation.
  6. When you pay your electric bill each summer month you do get to chuckle at us a bit.
  7. Surreal. Some people probably thought they were leaving their homes for good...Chernobyl style.
  8. Another GFS oddity spotting.. The temp at MDT is somewhere around 47 Thursday AM. Acknowledging that I am looking at 6 hour snapshots, it stays within 5 degrees of that mark the whole way through the weekend until Monday afternoon when it finally breaks out of the low 50's into the mid 50's.
  9. Yea, hot air faster than before. Though if sweating it felt better than nothing. So no TV during the TMI crisis?
  10. I am definitely turning mine on it if it in the 80's! Ha. There are still schools, even around here, with no central AC. If it were not for the occasional Florida like humidity, a whole house fan could work for a lot of people but when its humid out, it pulls so much moisture in.
  11. We say that but we did it...even people in my generation. I never lived in any location with A/C until college. And although were were not "well to do" we were not poor either.
  12. Yea, its always the worst when you cannot open the windows/use a whole house fan to cool off even if the highs are not extreme.
  13. There you go. Thanks for that. Boat Mooring 1 was where it looked so bad from the road.
  14. I was surprised as well though it was fairly severe in spots last summer. But it looks pretty gruesome when driving 177 from the Lewisberry area over to Rossville. A large mud and dirt pit to the right. I did not go back into lake to see where water still exists but I could not see any from the road.
  15. A chilly 34 this AM. May be the coldest morning for some time.
  16. It was chilly in the AM. Man, we have been talking about drought and such. The lake at the park is the worst I have ever seen it understanding that I was out of the area for 12 years. The majority of the circled area is either gone or down to just wet muddish areas. The larger area is also very shallow in spots.
  17. I have a complaint. I wore a long sleeve shirt to pinchot park and was too warm :-)
  18. A little light frost on the eggs this AM. 34F. Have a Great Easter.
  19. Show those folks in Miami how to really Spring break.
  20. Rising like the O's...a Phoenix out of the ashes.
  21. The MA banter thread to hate on the snow lovers :-)
  22. Historically fringed! @Voyager would be making a run to beat me for snow king this year.
  23. Yea, if the high is only going to be low 40's I want the lowers to be real lows. That depiction on the Euro is a yuck and duck fest. Rather it be in the 70's and nice if not cold.
  24. Your piece of land was probably below 0 when MDT hit 11 on April 1, 1923.
  25. Euro keeps MDT between 35 and 45 degrees the entire time from this time next week through at least Monday night. No cold lows just cut off low/back door yuck.
