  1. It's going to be a hot week for at least two days. Break out the shorts! MA is talking about low 90's which would be ridiculous. I would be surprised if it gets too much above 60 on Friday though. That front seems to mean business. Guess it could be delayed. Edit I just noticed the EC delays the front until Saturday. Different take and big contributor to the difference in the big low next weekend I would guess.
  2. Would keep us quite wet. Related subject, the euro warm bias has been crazy this winter and spring. It was off by 10 degrees here last night.
  3. LOL, when I posted that I knew you were going to be mad but hey...the models are the models. Not gonna snow for you. Too warm.
  4. 12Z GFS has quite the cut off crawler with some mountain snows next weekend. Maybe Pasnow was right and the party is not over. Ha.
  5. Up to 51 here but it is quite windy. 15 or so sustained. Bit chilly still.
  6. 29 and a nice, calm winter morning. Some rumblings of another light freeze or frost tonight and Monday AM.
  7. Yes, but why are the models initializing so poorly. They are still wrong now. I get it that models do not pick up fake snow all that well but usually they have some representation of the coverage. Most of PA saw some snow today. I saw a pic of someone who built a small snow man in Cumberland county (near Boiling Springs again).
  8. Anyone hear any thoughts on why the models were so off today? At this moment the whole Northeast is still covered with Precip not depicted on any model.
  9. Interesting. There is still an issue with something whether the observation or their calculations.
  10. Just breezed through the 12Z models and not one had more than a small speck of snow in PA right now. It's like the whole event is being ignored by data.
  11. Every time you sign off for the season and say Happy Spring and Summer, we get some snow in the next week or two. :-) Keep up the good work!
  12. Getting hard to see the state outline in N PA with the radar returns.
  13. I hope it does tear through as the flooding is my worry. I think it would take an extreme event and approach angle to have sustained winds too high in the LSV. I guess if a Cat 4 or up came right up the Chessie and was flying we could be in for 80-100 sustained which would do an incredible amount of damage here. It would change the area forever as politicians would be reactive and change building codes. We would have some houses with their tops ripped off when their garages cave in. That old garage door is your worse enemy. This tropical talk will have me dreaming that we skipped Summer and fall is upon us.
  14. This continues to be one of the more impressive streamer bands to get into the LSV in a while. If anything it is intensifying albeit some temps issues coming into play now.
  15. I have not had much accumulating snow since February. Just light mulch toppers. Definitely not anything like you had a couple weeks ago (remember I drove into Carlisle that day and was quite surprised)
  16. @Voyager is going to be so confused. We have a hot thread on our hand and half the posts are about an April Snow that NWS missed and the other about 80's next week.
  17. Spotter report that driveways are covered just south of Boiling Springs. Roads just wet. (This is not from @paweather LOL) Freeze Watch for tonight. It may get below 29 here tonight the more I look at it.
  18. Yep, those were the two days I mentioned. I was mostly looking past that and nothing above low 60's for the whole period if I remember correctly.
  19. Call them and state it exactly as you did here non stop assuming they are writing it all down.
  20. April snow is rare...April snow (accumulating in every county of the LSV except Lancaster up until now) with no mention of it in zones? Maybe historic in its own right.
  21. You are not even the only one on this board much less only person period. Call them and point it out. Don't let their faulty equipment, whether the low readings were too low or not record, take away from the real score! :-)
  22. You have been the jackpot for spring snows this year. Two Lake Effect events in a row where you had snow+ with that one a few weeks ago where you were the only one on here.
  23. The GFS punt's early summer into the second week of May with continued normal or close to it temps outside the two days next week where it gets in the 70's. Hope it is right....summer can wait until June 1 when summer starts. :-)
