  1. Not that I agree with that map, but MU had his first graupel mention of the season. LOL
  2. It has been signaled for several days now. I think of it this way.... today is just past mid fall (met) so probably some warmer stretches still to come. Those highs on the GFS, extrapolated out from the 2PM temps, would be over 10 degrees AN in the low and mid 70's. I remember sweating in my plastic Halloween costumes. Some lucky lottery winners in Lanco with rain showers moving through.
  3. So, I hear the comment growing season ending each fall.... appears the official designation of it ending is when temps get to 28 or below. Surprised it is that low re: 30 does not end the season.
  4. Nooners. 63 and mostly cloudy. It is windier than a stadium full of Phillies and Eagles fans celebrating. Sustained 15-20 with gusts near 30.
  5. @Itstrainingtime has not been around in a few days but here is MU's take for the next couple days since he is often mentioned here. 2/2 After reaching the low-to-mid 60s early this afternoon, temps should begin to fall late in the day. As much colder & drier air settles into the region behind the front, temps will plunge into the mid-to-upper 30s tonight & only rebound into the low-to-mid 50s tomorrow. Yikes!
  6. Scanned through several Mesos and the coldest night depicted as of 6Z is this Nam12 map for Thur AM or fairly similar (LSV Wise) Nam3 map for Wed AM. Could be lots of 20 readings if this was to play out as shown. Still not a hard freeze as the GHFS showed back 7-10 days ago but some cold nights.
  7. Congrats to the Eagles fans on here. They looked unstoppable at times. Uber big week in Philly
  8. Up to 72 at Rou' Ville right now. Feels warmer as there is little to no wind.
  9. Sun broke out here a bit earlier. It is 66 now and near 70 a bit to my west. Low to mid 70's redux today. I just checked CXY and they are 64. MDT 63. On these days where there is a SW wind, I get fried being on the west side of the Mountain. Going to be a perfect night for football in Philly.
  10. Nooners, 65 and just beautiful. Rou'Ville grill out in progress.
  11. I was wondering if the Mostly Sunny forecast was going to verify but the sun just broke through to my west and this piece of energy is getting ready to pull out of the LSV in the next hour or two. It has advanced across the southern tier overnight.
  12. Wow, now that is a huge difference in lows. 14 degrees. I had a high of 77 yesterday. Cxy had 76, MDT 73.
  13. 49 here this Am. Meso's show upper 60's to low 70's today. GFS has again backed off the area wide freeze for Tue AM but still holding on for Thu. All comes down to how sharp the trough is when it pivots through. Nam and Rgem have a sneaky LSV freeze Wed Am. Fingers crossed some rain for us tonight.
  14. The daytime highs progged are the killer. Lows near 30 are one thing but highs near 50 are heat time!
  15. Still 61 here and Cashtown down into the 40's. Sheesh
  16. They are 5-1 in the playoffs now. Baseball bullies! What is the 65? LOL
  17. I did not take note of where I looked before. Just clicked on another area and the high was 77. Lake Pleasant? Cap City was at 75 or 76.
  18. I was looking at some random Phx area airport where the high has been 76 so far....(non midnight)
  19. Looks like the non Midnight high at Phoenix will be similar to Capital City PA airport today. Phoenix did have warmer temps at midnight though,
  20. Just one game. Let's see how they react next week. They were winning in the second half today.
  21. A crazy 77 at almost 2pm in Waynesboro. Looks like cap city is 75. @candersonftw. Also Mad Elf on the shelf at giant.
  22. Country club course in Waynesboro was the busiest I ever say it. People waiting to tee off at each hole.
  23. Nooners in Waynesboro. 71 and sunny. Super windy.
