  1. The GFS suite keeps promising the end of its run...Mid Nov flip. It has pushed it back a few days though vs. its original promise though the weather during the push back period is a little BN vs. a torch. This would end the growing season for everyone. Right now, we have summer weeds loving life. Dandies popping up.
  2. I think the warmer stations make the 80's 1-2 times (18Z plus 3-5) just due to the consistency of the modeling showing it over and over. Sat to Tue time frame. If it happens, we could have both highs and lows coming in at 22-25 degrees AN. Like I mentioned, it has never made it above 80 at MDT past today/Nov 2nd. Might not be popular to speak about but the "potential" is there for some rare weather this weekend. Normal high at MDT on Sat is 58. @Voyager is probably feeling like times when most of us go on vaca and a snowstorm is coming...wishing vaca was another week.
  3. Texas and Arizona do early accums better than we do. Now....if short pump gets on the board before us, that will be sad.
  4. 71 here. Lots of clouds moved in after we hit 70 around lunch.
  5. I thought of that, but Blizz may have considered that piling on and threw a flag for unsportsmanlike...and I am a coldinista, just not going to ignore things.
  6. The 12Z Euro is just a wow for LSV and near. A slew of records would fall...both daytime high and nighttime max mins. Using the 3-5 rule which was almost too low today with CXY and MDT both getting to 72/73, 2 or 3 days in the 80's spanning into next week. Just weather prog talk and not a forecast. The euro is the hottie model of course. Worst case here, MDT could be double digit AN by the time the first 10 days of Nov are over. MDT wise, no day has ever hit 80 after Nov 2nd.
  7. Certainly, a more realistic forecast than some that hype every year. Some forecasts and posts said La Nina was over, but I am going with MU on that.
  8. Nooner...sunny, drying off a bit and 66. Warmed up really fast.
  9. Going to need to rationalize like some people in other boards....warm Nov means cold Dec.
  10. I was driving behind a school bus and it was so bad the bus driver missed her kids stop, because she could not see it, then jammed the brakes on to stop and I was lucky not to hit her. You could not see from one side of the road to the other. School probably should have been delayed.
  11. Photo of the fog lifting around Quirauk Mountain but holding tight in some valleys. This was taken in PA looking into MD.
  12. I saw a fog advisory to my south but none here. Lifting a little bit now. It was foggy in the higher and lower elevations.
  13. Out and about...one of the most foggy mornings I have ever experienced. Cannot believe there is no fog adv.
  14. Niang!!!! And free Thybulle!!! Ended up with about a dozen kids. No one wanted to get wet.
  15. People will do whatever they can to get noticed for that Denny's Management position. So far, we have had 6-8 ghouls at my place. Would have usually had dozens by now. Rain is a downer.
  16. MDT made 61 or 62 and CXY 63 or 64 today. Was surprised when I saw that. Despite all the clouds and rain going to be several degrees AN normal for MDT today. Will end up the month about 1.5 degrees under normal though.
  17. I did not think of that, but the HRRR and the radar do not look good. MLB makes all weather-related decisions in the postseason and the league's priority is playing an uninterrupted nine innings. MLB wants to avoiding starting the game, then force everyone to sit through a delay(s) later on. The league also prefers not to start game late at night, after half the country has gone to bed.
  18. One of the rainier trick or treat nights I remember. Surely there are worse but about to start raining again as the kids were to come out. Going to cut down on the visitors. I remember a super windy one 2-3 years ago.
