  1. Yea, we have one here at the main Waynesboro park and it is a hassle to play. Even if you get lucky and get the court, people will stand there and stare at you hoping to pressure you off. You can also lower the tennis ball net and use the serve lines on a full tennis court.
  2. You should check out the local tennis and pickleball courts. It is cool again, especially pickleball. 20 somethings playing.
  3. LOL, The football game is Thursday. Tennis is a warmup. Only need two to play tennis on a workday.
  4. Already up to 40 here....50's in sight today. Tomorrow is the annual Turkey Bowl tennis match, and I will enjoy the 50's.
  5. The Senate is going to to start allowing hoodies. LOL
  6. Front end "snow" vs. Dump. 2-3" with temps in the 30's. But it is the only game in town for the LSV area over the next 15 days (as progged now.) Outside back and forth model perturbations, there is no real cold air to grasp on over the next couple weeks. Seems a fairly mild period with some bouts of well AN are possible. If not for some help from the Atlantic, we would be really frying. End of the Euro/EPS/GFS (240+)/GEFS (240+) all show some signs of real cold entering the US again, so targeting the second week of Dec for winter to return. My AC unit has NOT been covered yet.
  7. Yep. I will step in and sub :-). Fantasy land though....several systems roll through before this but too warm until the second week of Dec rolls around.
  8. Where is your GFS snow map I just saw? (300+ though)
  9. When the storm forming on the tail of a front/transferring early idea went out the door, so did our snow... delay or not.
  10. Still there but delayed. Maybe some showers Fri but storm driving to Minn on Sunday.
  11. Yea, not looking great for them to keep anything they blew. I am guessing they did the same at Liberty and you are exactly right in that they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. At one point a few days ago, things were looking much better going into Dec. The OP GFS's 70's are probably over done but nothing LR looks great through much of the first week of Dec.
  12. You called me getting above you today. Good call. My closest official station, HGR, is at 46.
  13. 48 here now. May be close to peak. Valley temps.
  14. The lack of wind really takes the bite off. 45 here now. Aiming for the 47-50 area it seems.
  15. But the GFS has mid 70's (adding 3-5 to 1PM temp) here, brah. That must be your doing! LOL
  16. So are all the coldinista's here. You are stealing our early winter (Met Winter)
  17. +20 AN as depicted. Let's wait on that being written in stone. That is extreme.
  18. Cold air is cut off for a period with the JS well to our west (depiction.)
  19. 12Z GFS focusing on the late weekend area of energy and drives up to our west. Has two days with highs near 60 late week. Pretty similar to 6Z. May be one more mow yet. Not much frost with the frigid temps the past few days so grass is still fairly green.
  20. I am expecting to get well into the 40's today. Maybe near 50.
  21. Short and Mid-term model run down-Wet Weekend (GFS and CMC) or Friday and Weekend (Euro) and slightly BN temps trending to AN. Entering the last 10 days of fall, MDT is 3.4 AN for November. With the moderating temps potentially pushing highs into the 50's and near 60 this week (Normal high for Thanksgiving is only 50) it seems quite likely MDT will end up Nov AN. @Blizzard of 93 has thread starting duties in 11 days.
