    I felt like you were somehow defending the winter and saying it could be worse. It really would hard to be worse other than moving south. But just my opinion...I am glad we have something to track now.

    Since you are in a good mood right now, I am going to add that I agree with the folks that have only had 1-4" of now (me included) that trying to say the winter "up until now" is not as bad as others seems like kicking dirt in their faces. This winter as a whole is worse than 2019-20 right now IMO. Worst ever.

    Just got a call from family who said they heard we are getting a major snowstorm next weekend. The media must be primed to broadcast this one as they heard it on Channel 8. 18Z GFS looks very snowy with varying rates of snow all day Saturday and temps in the 20's. The combined snowfall for the two storms next weekend and early the following week is 18-24" KUCH for the LSV.

    The general consensus I get from talking to other people in the industry is that AT THIS TIME the current winter far out does 2019-2020 due to the large area of record break low snow totals....to basically go along with your thought.

    25% (Harrisburg) is not defendable but yea Allentown is so bad, Billy Joel is thinking of doing another song.

    It is surprising/amazing places like Syracuse and Albany have that much with what has transpired.

    MIGHT have to get the coats and parkas back out for the start of met Spring. After next Friday, MDT does not touch 40 again, at 18Z, on the GFS until March 4th and another cold shot looming after that. Generally supported by all 3 Ensembles blended temps.

    A frigid 17 here this AM. HRRR only missed by 13 on this one (from yesterday's 12Z.). MDT 24 or 25.

    I agree, a chance for this to be a good winter is over. I am mostly rooting for snow now so all the punters feel better.

    We gusted to 41 here but the sustained was in the uppers 20's much of the time. Already down to 26 degrees temp wise. The HRRR's temp forecast can show its own way to the door.

    Heavy snow overspreading PA again on Feb 28th. HH is HH.

    Mod-Heavy snow overspreading Southern PA next Saturday AM on the 18Z GFS. More west where 8-12" falls....2-5" for much of the LSV. Little to no rain.

    With so little snow this year I am surprised NWS did not have it in their zones. It has been snowing on and off here for hours....just light and no accums.
