  1. You are near what I consider to be the best beaches when in St. Pete. Sarasota/Siesta Key/Long Boat/Anna Maria.
  2. Even Wyndemere, which is million-dollar houses, has to leave and feel like they are in a third world country sometimes.
  3. Having lived near Orlando for 15 years I have a perspective that one should know what Orlando really is before staying off site (like you surely do with so many trips.) Lot's of people go to Disney and Bubble it which allows them to come away thinking Florida is the greatest place ever. Then there are people who stay on what some would call moderate hotels along maybe 192 and they come away exhausted thinking Florida is a big tourist trap with lots of dangerous people hanging around.
  4. Sorry, was not trying to sound correcting, just discussion. Could see some really cold readings Friday AM (colder spots.)
  5. Surprisingly not cold tonight on meso's after only getting mid to upper 40's for highs. A warm front tailing off the low in Cananda swings through before the trailing cold front sets us cold again Wed evening. Seems like constant snow today in the Laurels.
  6. FYI-Models keep drawing me in with chances. I was ready to cash out a couple days ago but winter really holding on the best it can.
  7. I have a friend in SC, south of Charlotte NC, and it is below freezing there this AM.
  8. I have stayed at all 3 of the resorts at that level and the rooms are indeed small. Two beds and little room to maneuver around them.
  9. The biggest difference from this Am's run and 12Z yesterday, that I noticed, was the coastal being slower which allows it to miss the colder air retreating from PA. At that same time stamp yesterday the low was encroaching upon SE PA instead of just leaving Pedro. Cold in before it gets here and cold air after it leaves.
  10. It actually just started snowing here. This is the 6th time it has snowed this March. I am too busy to check but we may end up with more snow days in March than Feb though Feb accums will probably win out. A lot of PA covered in snow this Am.
  11. 26 this AM. GFS cut back the Sat snow to just higher elevations as of this run.
  12. @Blizzard of 93 you must still be on Animal Kingdom time, this is the money shot of the evening runs.
  13. You showed up at the right time for 7-10 days of late winter (or close) with maybe a one day break Wed.
  14. It feels like true winter out again. The wind, clouds and snow showers (possible even here) will keep the temps from going too low tonight. The real cold comes this weekend as modeled.
  15. I did notice that the Rgem has high temps getting a little AN Wed before the front is pushed south again for the weekend...so maybe some warmer winds one day.
  16. High of 38 here today. Down to 35 now. I think MDT came in at 47 which was 1 over where I thought they might get.
  17. GFS Kuch Snow for Friday night into Saturday. Still on an island compared to EC and Canadian as neither brings the coastal far enough north due to keeping the streams separate....EC does have some snow from the NS system in the Northern 1/5 of PA. GFS has teens for many Sun Am but nowhere near the record of 13 set in 1896. Still a long shot but after yesterdays runs, surprised to have something even slightly legit to track.
  18. We have seen several times where the heat island extends well outside the actual cities themselves. Not sure of the actual cause but it keeps happening. Here is Wunderground and it shows most of the temps that are high are near major roadways, not 100% but a lot of them...maybe that has some influence too. Being within a few miles of one of the Interstates. Wild guess. Lot's of low 40's in Lanco.
  19. I was thinking MDT would be 42-43 now and top out 45-46. The CAA is still pressing in from what I can see. Maybe they top out a degree or two over. Either that or the concrete jungle is getting harder and harder to forecast for.
  20. Have a meeting at noon...EB Nooners, 37 with a fairly steady wind around 20ish gusting to 35-40. Gust wind chill is a "chilly" 22-24 degrees. MDT a degree or two higher than I thought they would be at this point.
  21. <eyeroll.emoji> is an effective way to bypass this boards limitations. <Insert Signature Here>
  22. As @Atomixwx keeps saying, you cannot count the stats until Late March has passed.
  23. We ended up with more than a half dozen gusts over 40 here.
