I see a lot of people down talking the impact on Baltimore car and truck traffic. The bridge handles 30-40K vehicles per day of which 80% are between the 12 hours between 7A and 7P meaning 2300-2400 additional vehicles each hour on I95 and 895 during the 12-hour stretch. It is estimated it will cost 500 million to 750 million to rebuild though some permanent areas from the previous bridge may be usable and afford a lessening of that cost.
34 here. There is a video of the collapse on Cnn and Foxnews for anyone that did not see it. Hard to fathom what this will mean for Baltimore right now. Shipping and car traffic going to be tough for a while. Sonar is finding cars under water.
Yea, it would take more warmth that the GFS has to add 1.0 to the total and I suspect it goes down some by tomorrow AM as well. Even if MDT gets to 55 today, their daily mean would only be 43.
The latest GFS is the nightmare spring scenario people are always talking about. A whole run of Morch due to the Atlantic finally coming alive. Not warm, not cold.
Peg takes it on the chops. If I were you I would not cancel yet. Every day it vacillates between rainy and just cloudy. And, I think there is still a chance of snow next weekend.
Definitely makes it ok to be outside despite it being 44 (the sun) but I am wearing slacks and long sleeve shirt. Breeze is just too cold for shorts here. I have pretty much put my summer wear away after looking at LR. I had broken it out in early March. Early March may be the high point for a while except a random day when a storm cuts. Your game may be dry yet though.
After a yard walk, I am thinking the first mow will be April 6ish. May be a partial mow. Starting to see some growth but if we get frost the next 2 nights it may stunt. Also see very small buds on the Maple tree so they are looking mid Aprilish for full bloom. Hibiscus bushes/trees have no buds making this the latest they will ever bloom since Spring 2019. Usually they are budding by late March.
The GFS is not warm either.....a lot of chilly days. 43 here for the high today. Probably tops or maybe gets to 44. Going to be wearing colder weather clothing late this year.
Congrats, you sound proud which you should be.
Still only 30 here. This has been one of the 5-6 coldest stretches of the year so far over here A 19, 22 and 21. Maybe two more mornings in the 20's coming up.
Yea, they came in hamstrung as did Florida. I pi9cked them to lose first round. Also picked the Zags to lose so that whole area of the bracket was a failure for me.
They were in a no defense game last night. Canes goaltender when he realized the Euro weekly's really were not going to happen.
