I think this was more of him being gleeful but showing empathy for us by "seeming" concerned if the EC scores the coup over the others. LOL

We are turning into Florida. Plentiful 90's but the upper limit held back a bit by humidity.

The only June day where the record is NOT above 95 at MDT was yesterday at 92. Every other June day, MDT has reached above 95 sometime in the past. When I say above 95, I mean 96 and above. Ironically no day in June has 95 as its high. It is the one 92 and all others are 96 and above. A lot of insanity at MDT!

To me, anything that is just 5-10 degrees AN is not insane. Just my take. Normal for MDT next week is mid 80's so a 92 is just a warmer than usual day. Heat Index plays into it as well.

Do y'all consider low to mid 90's insanely hot? For mid to late June I would say 100 and above or a heat index of 110 and above.

It will be a very warm float if that. No cool weather next week. Bu to me it is a big difference between 88-92 and 98-102 in the EC camp vs. CMC/GFS

Crazy thing about that. Firebirds are already in Hershey. They would havehad to fly back West to open at home if Monsters win this game.

Negative history averted. Looked terrible until monster player choked with a puck penalty. Hunter saved the bears.

Bears lucky to get to OT. Really scuffling and miss Frank. Lots of defensive zone turnovers.

They must still be ingesting the new data :-). But in reality it is still the ridge position. If GFS is right it is going to be fairly wet next week. GFS takes the W for the lack of a heat wave this week.

12Z GFS does not have a 90-degree 18Z (2PM) Temp in the LSV until Saturday the 22nd. Plenty hot next week but alignment of the ridge, as predicted by the GFS, is not mid to upper 90's hot. More upper 80's to low 90's. It was a bit of a cool down from the 6Z run. No 70 and above lows (out of urban areas) all next work week.

As of right now, GFS has rain chances Tue onward next week. All about how that ridge sets up.

All this heat talk and it is a sweet, sweet 65 at Rou right now and only 69 at MDT.

Yea, was just reiterating what the GFS and CMC had on their panels. Previously the CMC was down with the higher temps but is not right now. A lot will depend on how the ridge positions and any clouds/rain we get. The GFS is quite cloudy compared to the warmer EC. As an example, the EC is 100 at MDT on the June 20th 18Z Panel. The GFS is 88 and CMC 91 at that same time. The EC is most likely too hot like usual.
