No issues. Like you insinuated, if we lose $400, we still saved the $1200 in condo and rental car fees in lieu of sitting in rainy Myrtle. The rain may be gone for the second half of the trip, but they could very well have flooding for days/weeks.

Yea, that is part of the reason. We have gone to Florida beach's often after storms passed...to find stuff on the beach...but we could drive then and go home when we wanted. I am doubting Allegiant fly's in as well ...actually hoping not as otherwise we are going to lose our money for the flight, Allegiant is 100% non-refundable unless you buy the very expensive Trip Flex which we did not. Even then there are no refunds, just credits.

66 this AM. Hydrology here looks like we could take 5-7" of rain without much of any flooding in creeks and streams. This includes areas to our north that would flow down. GFS shows almost no rain here so lots of options still and not filling sand bags yet. Probably cancelling Myrtle today.

@Blizzard of 93 I understand your thoughts, but they are misguided when using yearly totals to hide deficits in the summer. No one is saying we are a desert now, but farmers are suffering, and you are acting like it is all fake. Look at this map, according to you PA is 100% drought free, yet a small part of PA is in D3 which is the second to worst drought rating an area can get. Yes, you being in D1 is overkill but some people really are in somewhat dire shape. With that said, as I said last night, I apologize if I posted too much about it. But you cannot post your away out of PA being in a D3.

I never said the Cowboys would win. I know they are a train wreck. But I still root for them.

Because you can't understand how droughts work? Is this like when you said there was no way the Phillies could lose 2 in a row to the Diamond Backs? Since June 1 is the important info in your post. Did you not notice that?

Don't waste your time. If one is 15" ahead as of May and gets 1-2" for the entire summer, they are still in drought. Enjoy your cornucopia of rains.

You forgot to post this link which shows drought emergency's, drought watches, etc. Maybe you can get a finder's fee for pointing out the map you posted is wrong. Man, MU must feel embarrassed with you pointing out how terrible his posts have been. https://rconnect.usgs.gov/PA_drought_map/

How are HGR and CXY doing especially since Late June? Did you put a filter in to only show those with surpluses? How about THV? THV is 4-5" behind in met summer. They have a total of 3.16" so far, the entire summer. Why do you feel the need to gloat because you have done well when a large part of the area has not? Are the people who put out the drought maps incompetent?

Here are some Marysville residents laughing at people who bought land in the LSV and thought Middletown was representative of the area. "Someone actually thought they could plant grass in the Camp Hill Desert! LOL"

Except for some the forum it will not be over. Down here would need 10" to go from D2 to D1.

Normally I would show some compassion but you have scored and scored often this year so you can take a break, right? LOL. Edit-As I type this year more Hanover rain seems to be possible in the near future.

Sorry, my bad. The Icon still has the storm not stalling/moving in land and sending it right up the DelMarVa's smokestack like a colonoscopy. Euro looks like its about to end the drought then it exits stage right and drought continues. Up to 80-90% I am cancelling the Myrtle weekend.

MDT's high today was 89 ending the CPC AKA Mike Lindell Heat Wave. Was this the worst forecast by CPC in a long time? Not sure.

And some spots there were already pushing 35" on the season. Some may get near their 2024 averages today.

0 today. Was not even close. Some stations in the LSV are now up to 35" for the year or 13 more than here. That is how you end up with 75" differences over 5 years.
