  1. Snow wise it was a tears and sobs Waaaahhhh. A little icy at one point but a general cold rain storm. UL low traverses the area too far north for the questionable conditions.
  2. Upcoming is the most important run of the EC in two seasons! Is this going to be a deform and/or WAA weekend or will it end up being a WAAAHHH weekend for snow lovers?
  3. And as if the EC reads the forums it brings some here a front end thump this weekend. More to the Northeast after this map.
  4. As I listen to my neighbor mowing his grass I cannot help but hope the EC soon switches tunes and shows some real winter weather in the long range. I see some chilly temps but no real storm threats as the persistent weakness in the atmosphere continues to go back to our west allowing storms to track through the Midwest up into Canada or reform on the coast too far north for our liking.
  5. Here as well so you are not alone. It is pouring rain and we are up at 800' while the valleys to my east are accumulating snow.
  6. Yep. Some. A little sleet or Freezing rain in N Central PA but closest snow is up in the Lakes. Here is GFS 12Z total QPF through Sunday Am.
  7. I just peeked at 12Z and not good for anything close to snow anymore...trends have been further to the west and north with the track before any redevelopment. This may have been our last chance of any Pre Winter (Met Winter) area wide accumulating snows. Actually looks toasty next week possibly pushing 60 (did not check EC).
  8. Saturday bears some watching. Air mass is probably not cold enough for a big one but the track is pretty decent. If we can get that Miss. Valley low to minor out a bit earlier, allowing a coastal to form a little south and east of the GFS prog, it could be a wintry day.
  9. We ended up with about 1/4" in some spots before the blowing started. Actually saw excessive snow blowing off roofs. Unexpectedly wintry scene.
  10. Going with first accum of the year...about 1/10" on decks, roofs, and mulch :-). Sn+. I may be out in front of @Cashtown_Coop for the moment.
  11. Wow, frontal rains lasted 20-30 min here...had a few showers a few hours later as well. The zone forecast could not have been much more incorrect IMBY yesterday I really thought most of the day was going to feature rain albeit it light for some of the time. I guess I am only noticing it because of all the scary AFD's that warned of doom and it sounds like the LSV and your area verified on that in some manner.
  12. We only ended up with between 3/4" and 1" for the whole two day total. Almost all of it came with the front passing..only 2/10" from the 24 hours prior.
  13. Ha, I was not trying to promote my post from earlier. That one was more about what appeared to be an under forecasted dry slot which turned today into a fairly dry day. We certainly are not coming any where near the 1.5 to 2.5 inch forecast. I have seen these lines bust here and cause major damage in the Eastern LSV so maybe someone sees drama.
  14. We had gusts near 40 (local observer) around 4:30 to 5 and never even got to 30 here with the line. I am sure tomorrow will be very windy but that is status quo for around here post cold front.
  15. The offices and workplaces of America can spew misinformation like nothing else.
  16. Going to go out on a limb here and call this a bit of a surprise for the beginning of the event. We have had nothing but a light rain event at this point and radar indicates nothing else is imminent. I understand there is a cold front coming and all hell could break loose for a period but the longevity of the event was progged to be a bit more severe than the reality has turned out to be. Our first dry slot "bust" of the season.
  17. My specific township has not cancelled trick or treat and I do not have enough candy to try and hit their bags each time a tornado would circle them around to my house, ala Wizard of Oz, so the kids better get here before that happens or I better hope my aim is top notch tonight.
  18. Hampden Township announced Thursday morning that it has rescheduled trick-or-treat for Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and Silver Spring Township announced later Thursday morning that it is rescheduling its trick-or-treat night to Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
