  1. After reading this thread today all I can think about is: Heading up to the cabin tomorrow after lunch. Should be some good obs from 2100ft on the edge of the mountain. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Careful. 2010 was religious in SoMoCo. 6ft base at our house. Drifts to 15ft. We would leave the pocono cabin and wait for my friend and his bucket loader to open our driveway.....week after week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  5. Wow I remember this type of setup when I was a kid. Would drive up to north eastern NJ for holiday visits and the place was buried and street parking not possible. Been a long time coming...... Lets hope
  6. literally the worst thing anyone here could do now is: touch any form of snow removal equipment purchase or physically inspect ANY form of melting/traction product draw a goofy MS Paint snowfall prediction map and post it in multiple threads and Regions Copy and Past the play by play of every MET in the NE Pick a fight with DT Take the Canadian verbatim Trust the NAM outside of 36hrs Now inside 24 hours ALL of the above still apply except: Picking a fight with DT is permitted if not encouraged
  7. I see thing could become interesting next week for the poconos Hope you all are doing well! Ready for some WINTER! Yesterday was just a small taste
  8. At the Pocono cabin we enjoyed a frosty event that included a bit of everything. The southerly winds accelerated up-slope often to 30-40mph and i would not put it past touching 50 at times. We have noted this micro condition over the years and what is really crazy if you walk down the street to the north the wind at ground level disappears though you can still hear it above you. We have a mixed pile of 4-5" of snow and sleet. We did see rain mixed a few times and the trees have a solid crust frosty coating. Roads are plowed and treated.....no biggie for the mountain. Gorgeous winter morning with light snow falling.
  9. word from my family up at Stowe, today was good and tomorrow should be even better
  10. Another monmouth county special? Not a major deal.....just the focus. 1-3 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Wow this is turning into a “virtual” reunion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Glad to hear about Josh[emoji41] Hope TWC puts Josh on and pulls cantore from the faux weather crap....pulling a Seidel all afternoon. Please.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. .65 thus far and may I say all in brief but intense burst of rain. Instant washouts. Thunder building near by again so I would expect more rain is coming.
  14. I really hope after the turn the trend is more east, for all coastal areas benefit. Locally here, following the damage from the microburst event, without question, any extended period of wind would be bad in these parts as the soil remains saturated and the trees/poles have been already stressed and left in a dangerous state. Still see the crews clearing out large branches left hanging by the thread. When you scan the woods there are hundreds of these and easy to spot with the dead leaves. Loving the cool morning temps[emoji41] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
