  1. Onondaga county upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning. Sorry if posted already. https://forecast.weather.gov/showsigwx.php?warnzone=NYZ018&warncounty=NYC067&firewxzone=NYZ018&local_place1=Skaneateles NY&product1=Winter+Storm+Warning&lat=42.9456&lon=-76.4275#.YeR1pRZOkWM
  2. Out enjoying a gorgeous day with the fam. Time for a hike. Been at it since 4AM. Benefits of not drinking.
  3. On Pivotal it seems the maps don’t account anything for sleet. I think it’s like 3 or 5:1 so you could get 2-4” of snow a half inch or inch of sleet and then powder on top. Staying power.
  4. Meh. I grew up in NJ. This is NOTHING when it comes to disappointment!!
  5. That restaurant is amazing. The salmon is killer! Love the walk along the river. this was my 10 year old out back on his birthday! Seriously. He and I are super tight so happy to help bud!
  6. Ah. My super close friend runs that place. Let me know if you have any trouble!
  7. Good news is those advisories only go to 7PM tomorrow and there is plenty of wind driven lake enhanced and lake effect snow with solid ratios to follow. Most should have fun!
  8. Definitely don’t mean to root against anyone. One side or the other will get hurt here. Always cutoffs and dry slots with these storms.
  9. I will help out Gorse (MesoBanding from other boards). I’m terrible and don’t know much but my passion is intense.
  10. That’s a major snow jump for eastern areas on the 3K. Good little trend and it doesn’t hurt our brethren out West.
  11. It’s a nice SE jog here. Especially on the 3K. Limits the dry slot some for Onondaga and nearby.
  12. Sucks. Reality here is longitude matters big time in the transition / dry slot area. Even a 25-50 mile bump SE can help many here and really hurt no one.
  13. NWS Binghamton briefing. Their warnings and advisories don’t include lake effect but they do add that here for us.
  14. Still looks like thump to sleet/snizzle back to a wind driven snow. I still think double digits is quite achievable here in Skan adding in the backend lake effect. Tons of tracking for a less than ideal outcome but the chase and tracking is more than half the fun for me. good luck and congrats on the Bills. As a Dolphins fan my disdain for the Pats has no bounds. Now I hope you get drilled.
  15. All fair guys - but the precip totals jumped higher East where I am - so my point was more about the overall and not necessarily “in that moment.” But I’m both an optimist and here to learn as well…
  16. NWS point and click is 9” here in Skaneateles before lake effect with zero mention of mixing. Not sure I buy that but I will take it.
