  1. 88F / DP 69F Line of storms developing moving like a snail W-E and most likely won't arrive till after 7pm, sunset? It probably won't have the fuel it needs to produce flying cow intensity. Thinking some thunder (if?) and showers...
  2. 72F / DP 70F at 6:20am on 9/15 and to see pumpkins as I enter supermarket is comical...
  3. DP 70F at 2am. Weed and grass growth is above average for this time of year. I still mow/trim once a week like I did all summer. If I let it go 10+ days it would be a wreck. Usually growth this time of year slows down and we look forward to early signs Fall foliage...
  4. Well, this subforum is borefest right now due to hot/humid boring weather. Hopefully some storms tomorrow evening/night will get things rolling. 87F / DP 71F w/smoky and hazy skies...
  5. Pretty cool outside at 6am and mostly dark w/crickets jamming...just need to do away w/the above average temps and DPs for this time of year, I'm done. Bring on the fresh autumn air mass... 67F / DP 66F
  6. Smoky hazy skies w/some limited sun... 84F / DP 68F
  7. I went through Horsham and especially Ambler (near Temple Ambler) and it was a mess after a tornado(9/1). Trees/roofs torn, cars scattered randomly and a SUV on it's roof where it shouldn't be... 64F / DP 60F
  8. The Atlantic is getting ramped up. Although we rarely get a direct hit we always seem to be a driveway for the remnants of a TS/hurricane with oodles of rain. 75F / DP 55F with crickets jamming...
  9. Doing the BBQ, firepit and outside Phils game tonight. Hope to hell the early-mid next week is the last of approaching 90F heat this year. I'm done/tired of it. 66F / DP 53F Jim has the right idea....
  10. 66F / DP 56F....with a breeze,really can't ask for better than that.
  11. Cooled off really well here. DP's in the 50s which is always good for sleeping. Oddly enough critters weren't really out tonight...maybe all the rain lately, I don't know.
  12. Yeah, that line pretty much fell apart for my area. Looked decent for a bit. 69F / DP 65F
  13. I'm a little amazed at some back building....going to get hit soon. The 2.0 is 2"...
  14. Canceled tornado warning...heavy rain though.
  15. I drove up Horsham Rd, make a left on Norristown Rd through Maple Glenn then Ambler a million times for work back in the day. Occasionally I stopped in the Maple Glen tavern for a beer. Were you the shit faced guy at the end of the bar talking weather all the time?
  16. The flooded water in Philly is just flat out crappy sewage water. Not even sure how fish live in that environment? Myself, I'd rather smell gasoline if it wasn't toxic. I grew up/ lived in this area (PA/Del/NJ) for 50 years and the tornadic activity this year has been by far the worse...not even close.
  17. IMO 99% chance it will be retired. Back in my early 20's I was renting a place w/a buddy in Limerick. Forget what storm but the basement was a disaster w/flooding. Call the Fire dept and they pumped it out for free...I was surprised. So if your basement is a mess w/flooding may want to try that route. (or local fire depts) Some may do it, some may not. Nothing to lose besides them telling you to F-off....
  18. Just think if the forecast for the next week was 95F+ HHH down there? People would practically have to wear a respirator to be anywhere near there. At least they have a good short term weather forecast...
  19. Night and day from yesterday...sunny, bright blue skies and breezy. 71F / DP 50F
  20. One of the news channels had video from lansdale yesterday. The camera was zoomed in on severely rushing water. I thought it was a creek ready to overflow. Then it zoomed out and it was a street....WTF? I don't the name of the street and the location didn't look familiar but damn! Sucks about your flooding/damage. Does your insurance cover this? Fully...partially? Shit out of luck?
