  1. Just put the trash out so I fully expect the winds to ramp up. Nice upcoming weekend but I don't expect many of us to hit 60F next week... 64F
  2. Best/green/thick it's looked in months. Leaves falling and colder weather moving in so it won't be long lasting. Squirrels running around like crazy...some fox around here as well. 59F
  3. Just getting a normal/below normal December would be a change of pace in many years. This October so far has been "what I remember" Octobers used to be and it looks to continue. Hopefully this overall pattern continues and wouldn't mind another hurricane/tropical storm/Nor'easter slamming us... Overcast/mist, 58F
  4. Not here, I'm enjoying this as well. October is actually feeling/looking like October. Gloomy, brisk, leaves changing colors and falling. Hopefully it's the start of a nice/slow transition into winter without any heat spikes... Overcast/55F
  5. Bunch of yellows starting to fall. 48F, misty. Stuff a little later...
  6. Winds have picked up a bit...may see a boomer later/overnight if we're lucky? Heavier stuff still moving in offshore... 49F/light rain/mist
  7. KYW/Elliot Abrams did this w/the 1983 Blizzard. Every time they checked in w/him he upped the totals....my brain exploded. Not feet but inches. Best drifting storm of my life...could only see the roof of my father's car and 1/3/1/2 way neighbors house. Light rain/mist 46F Batch forming offshore right in time for the high tide at the shore...
  8. Yes, tie breaker....head to head better record. Those things don't seem big during the regular season but good to have in you back pocket.
  9. That season ending injury ended his career both mentally and physically. He thinks too much now (holds on to the ball too long) and runs/mobile like a wounded giraffe...
  10. Must have received 1"-2"+ just this morning and probably 4-6"+ so far for this marathon event. High tide for Atlantic City/shore is 3:30pm and from watching the local news this morning (low tide) it was pretty bad down there, can't imagine what this afternoon will bring. Beach erosion must be bad... On/off downpours 45F... *Phils playoffs...Birds 4-0...woo hoo!
  11. Lawn looks the best/growing more since early July, go figure? Leaves starting to fall though... 51F/DP 50F
  12. If you like football, gloomy dreary days, doing wash/stuff/taking out trash while getting drenched...today is the ticket. Pretty sure I saw Ralph at the Warminster Starbucks calculating winter predictions. 52F/DP 49F...breezy, light rain/mist. This is what October is all about...
  13. Raining like a BeJesus going to my car and back.....go Birds!
  14. Big fan...All Saints day schedule. No ties nor Nuns: 55F/DP 54F
  15. So true. No one cares or notices besides weather enthusiasts. My B-day is late Oct along w/Halloween. And as a young-in during the 70s/80s since I went to catholic school we had the day after halloween off (All Saints Day). Pretty much my B-day playing football in the leaves, Halloween and stuff w/temps in the 50s/low sun angle then All Saints Day off....it was golden! Growing up, parents made beef stew and it was excellent, Once I moved out my friends dad was a deer hunter and we had a endless supply of meat (Stew/steaks/stew/jerky)...it was great...high protein. 55F/DP 53F
  16. He'll probably come out the blue and present some mathematical-past model run formulation-glacier infused-solar atmospheric distribution-ocean/tide movement-volcanic activity velocity algorithm and give a winter prediction... 55F/DP 48F
  17. We may see a "more normal" Oct than we've seen in years w/ some highs in the 50s and no off target flamethrower days...kinda ease into winter hopefully. 55F/DP 47F
  18. ^Sunset was cool looking here as well. (Mars looking) Too lazy to get out of the recliner to take pictures... 55F/DP 48F
  19. No joke, I'd rather go the entire winter w/o heat than the summer w/o A/C. I turned off my heat for shits and giggles on several occasions during winter's super cold nights and never fell below 42F-46F-ish range....never cracked the 30s. If in advance this winter we see a week long cold stretch coming I may do a "turn off the heat week" and see how low my temp can go..... 55F/DP 48F
  20. I'll admit, I closed a couple windows (blowing mail and shit off the table) but not all w/a nice breeze still running through the house. Good Halloween weather...
  21. Regarding Floyd, I've never seen a heavy downpour last so long...hours. House/street gutters/drains overflowing...wish I had phone/camera video back then.
  22. I think we'll see some characteristics of a tropical storm. (Nothing, then sideways sheets of rain) I miss Floyd. Kinda strange but media really making nothing of a Cat 1 hitting the SE (SC) after the Florida hit...it's going to screw up people's life... Currently here:
  23. Damn, Ian...100s dead? Or the sheriff who said this is sniffing glue? Currently here:
  24. Y'all kinda nail it, a shade below Cat 5 at landfall. He added a actually MET to his live stream and nutjob chasers. Good thing about him he's a 24/7 live stream all 4 seasons if something is going on...
  25. 67F/DP 47F From the Miami radar, some tornado warnings popping up already...
