We need some sort of rain tomorrow and/or Friday because after that zilch for a bit w/hot temps. Actually a little surprised we're not in a drought watch.

Home depot crab statue for $1539.00. If I was rich I would buy it....

Exhaust fans work great and I use them especially at night. Two big fans out front (East) pulling air in from back windows (West). Turn off the A/C at night when I can and really get a breeze with the back windows open. But when it's super hot A/C stays on and PECO is happy....
Big time redsky going on here....feels like I'm on Mars.
Decent couple days ahead then we probably roast again. Lawn is beyond repair.

Yes.
I agree. But it seems Summer is lasting well into Sept these days. Hope not. Early Sept alright but I'm done by mid month.
Been going to Tuckerton, NJ lately.....Barnegat as well. Turkey backs/handlines (no traps) and I'll be heading down at some point. We'll see what happens? Good luck.

Although I dislike the hot weather the late summer brings out crabs. I usually go sometime in August, even early September because the water holds the warm temperatures. And if want stay down there the room rates in September go way down. Camped down there as well.
Pretty good site news/hitting/good spots:

Yep, and a big wooden basket/tub of apples for like $2 bucks and keep the wooden basket. Produce Junction which is probably the cheapest these days I get 5-6 apples for $2-$3....in a plastic bag.
When I went crabbing w/my father, around the bridge time, I would call my mother to turn stove on. (Big pot of water) so we could dump the crabs in when we arrived. Old bay and other seasonings and all...
DPs are thankfully down...
Corn on the cob is super expensive. I remember going crabbing then picking up a dozen corn for a buck and tomatoes....then .79 gas/gal in NJ heading home. And maybe some cheap NJ booze. Always hit the NJ stands for produce on the way back home...every time.
Hope we get shit-canned, flying cows, Floyd (Pink) rains, F5 tornadoes and hopefully a couple tropical things developing, the works, way too hot out there. I have hair but times like this I wish I didn't....soaking my cap in water to keep cool.
