  1. Fall is definitely arriving. Cooler temps, windows open overnight, sun angle is fallish and I don't think I heard a single cicada all day....crickets, yes. 77F/DP 60F
  2. From mid month on I see mainly 70s (and maybe a freak day(s) of 60s) for highs but more rain would definitely help. 77F/DP 61F Really a nice day out there...
  3. 74F/DP 62F I'll say it, we will not see another 90F+ day till 2023...
  4. Missed the location but my buddy Cecily mentioned a location hit 5.5" in upper Mont/Bucks? That's quite a dump...
  5. It's cooler but muggy (DP 69F) you don't really appreciate it. Not the crisp Fall air. Maybe some overnight showers... 70F/DP 69F
  6. I mowed/trimmed yesterday before the rain. Pretty much the grass didn't grow and I had a hard time realizing where I mowed or not? Weeds/crabgrass grew along the house/fence and spotty sections of the lawn needed trimming. Can't wait till the cutting grass/weeds is done. Ready to put on the flannel and rake leaves then watch football... Stuff slinging around...71F/DP 70F
  7. Not sure if I received that much yet but definitely .25"+ so far. The precip is progressing W-E so it makes sense. PSU radar showing some nice echoes which will fill in and we'll all see precip overnight as it moves E. Just did a thorough cheap man's car/soap/wash on the car and hopefully the rinse comes soon...think we get drilled later tonight/early tomorrow. 75F/DP 69F muggy...and radar.
  8. Nothing heavy but consistent/soaking which I guess is what we need... 75F/DP 69F
  9. Amazing how solid/pinpoint/real time this radar is...down to a tee.
  10. Liquored up guy in Lansdale along w/liquored up guy in North Wales should see something soon...86F/ DP 67F, clouds to the West.
  11. Ch6/Accu Weather just before midnight. Philly and the local burbs in the sweet spot as of now FWIW... 73F/DP 66F
  12. Nice cell to your far NNW w/.5 hail. Really can't see us getting shut out/limited w/rain over the next couple days. Anything less than 1" would be disappointing. Means nothing NBC10 had projected total precip in Philly 3"-4" range....burbs 2"-3". Hopefully Monday night/Tuesday is a washout. 75F/DP 66F
  13. Horrible day to have that fly by, lost last 2 to Gabe and the Giants out west. Pitching matchup doesn't favorite us today as well....may watch the movie instead if the game gets out of hand.
  14. At least you have something on radar...basically nothing here. 79F/DP 64F
  15. Just finished BBQ'ing burgers and as soon as the sun started to set those damn gnats are like pironna's on your ankles...bastards. 81F/DP 65F
  16. Sun still having a hard time completely breaking through the high clouds... DPs up to 65F...temp 80F
  17. There is just about 0% of this happening even if there was faulty sensor. Nothing confirmed from anything I read. (I may have missed it?) I think they want to check for any malfunctions because it set a record. Any normal day they wouldn't give it a second thought. All and all, the ocean temps are really warm so if anything tropical is out there it will probably intensify rather quickly.
  18. Unless you have a different source I didn't see anything confirmed and it's considered preliminary. The water sensor at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City was taken down by the National Ocean Service Friday for inspection after record an all-time high water temperature of 84.7 degrees. This is due to a possible faulty sensor. At this time the 84.7 degree all time record is considered preliminary said Dean Iovino, Lead Meteorologist for The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey. https://pressofatlanticcity.com/weather/preliminary-all-time-water-temperature-record-set-in-atlantic-city-aug-25/article_f9436d7c-24a2-11ed-b577-eb8a3732a453.html
  19. Ocean 84.7F...groundskeeper could boil wieners out there.
  20. 2nd hottest in Philly... https://www.fox29.com/news/july-2022-was-second-warmest-on-record-in-philadelphia-nws
  21. Temps aside, crickets (and some night time critters) during the daytime...sun setting lower for this time of day all points to Fall. However, I'd imagine Fall foliage will be a disaster due to lack of rain. Hell, leaves falling because they are so damn dry. We need a Pink Floyd type of thing to smash the area...
