  1. Nearest PWS shows 1.46 so far. This has been a real soaker.
  2. Indeed. There is quite a bit of color out here already.
  3. 32F again this morning with pretty good frost. 3 straight nights of freezing temps in mid September. Truly amazing.
  4. Hit freezing again this morning. 32F for the low, but frost wasn't nearly as widespread as yesterday.
  5. 31F. Heavy frost. I cannot believe this is Sept 20.
  6. It is crystal clear and dead calm, and cold. We will be challenging the freezing mark tonight. Truly remarkable weather for mid Sept.
  7. Not a great spot for tstorms. There are 2 predominant tracks, and I'm stuck between if there is westward component of travel. If there is eastward component, it seems I do well. The most important thing, though, is that it's cooler here.
  8. 35F. Patches of frost. Amazing. Smoke layer is gone, last night had an exceptionally clear sky and bright starfield. Was a perfect night for the inaugural fire on my new patio fire pit with my kids.
  9. 39F. Actually is cold outside. Simply amazing. I see a forecasted high of 63F sunny on Saturday. Unreal.
  10. It's consistently 3 or 4 degrees cooler than in town. Not sure why. Only 250 feet higher. Lack of asphalt and buildings does wonders. My spot is not a good location for t-storms unless there is an easterly component. It literally didn't rain for a month in July. There is a track just to my south and another to my north. If there is westward component, then I usually get split. If there is an east fetch, like several nights ago, then it's money out here. Should we ever get another coastal storm in winter, it should be good times. And the snow shouldn't get nuked immediately after.
  11. 49F low last night, with sparkling clear skies. Perfect weather evening.
  12. 53F. Gorgeous night and morning.
  13. Let it be warm. Selling my house and preparing to move. Warm and dry would be preferred for the next month or two.
  14. Dude. Really?? You're using the classic El Nino winter with massive early season blocking analogy? By mid jan. 2010 most of this sub forum had at least 2' of snow. Really?
  15. Should be able to combine it with discussions of New Years plans.
  16. BWI: 11/14 DCA: 11/18 IAD: 11/14 RIC: 11/18 Tiebreaker: 9.04"
  17. Wow. I didn't get anything like that. Hours of non accumulating snizzle, until about 2pm. Decent rates until about 330. Picked up about an inch during that 90 min period. After that it was just pixie dust until after 10 PM. Picked up about another inch over those 7 hours. Really poor ratio snow; it was like sweeping sand. Pretty dense. Remarkable for how long it snowed, but equally for how little I got. The length of this storm (33 hours) nearly matched the '96 storm, but with vastly different results.
  18. Congrats, man! Happy you finally got to experience a great storm.
  19. 7.2". Great storm, but what happened to more snow to the south? Martinsburg with 4" more than me. Lol. Wtf.
  20. Getting some heavier snow now. Small flakes, but coming down. Accumulating. 7.1".
  21. 7". Pixie dust continues to fall, but hardly accumulating. Giving the snow a sparkley blanket.
