  1. Finishing the light precip at 11PM on the warm side - A solid 12HR snowfall 9AM - 10PM on the 12K HRRR. Little to know difference on the Kuchera. Showing 7IN IMBY - I would take half of that and RUN at this point. Going to be a fun day!
  2. By HR36 we're back THUMPING - Let me know if these posts are annoying, LOL! HR38 - all snow, cold moving back down.
  3. A solid snow from 9AM - 6PM before the warm. I'd take that. We went from talking overnight to during the day. I love watching some good daytime snow falling.
  4. Looks like a solid 2-5in across the area before the trouble starts creeping in at HR33
  5. 12Z HRRR has precip moving in around 8AM. Most of us in the low 20s with DPs single digits.
  6. Made it down to 10 degrees. Let's see how today goes! Should be fun to watch. Also, just going to TOSS the NAM at this point. It's almost now casting time.
  7. I'm always rooting for a big storm but, hey, this thing is trending earlier and to even just watch the snow fall during the day for 12+ hours, I will take it! Starved down here.
  8. We need that low a little further south. Colder, yes. Less moisture, yes. Within 48, yes. Things can change a lot? YES.
  9. 18Z NAM, Wild ride incoming. Lets see....
  10. Conservative as usual. We shall see! Note: WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Outside the mountains, total snow and sleet accumulations between 1 and 3 inches and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch possible.
  11. 18Z HRRR has heavy snow down into ATL now. Coming in a lot colder.
  12. GSP really waiting to pull the trigger LOL! ... I don't blame them.
  13. Only made it to 26 so far today. That ground is COLD though.
  14. 12Z EURO isn't half bad, we just need some more juice pulled up from the Gulf and we'd have a SOLID storm. Still 48 hours out
  15. Kind of like that they are waiting for the rest of the afternoon suite to finish. And not pulling the trigger as others have done. Check out the WSW in ATL - CONFUSING. They just threw numbers out there. We don't need that. * WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 7 inches with the higher amounts North. Ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, northwest, and west central Georgia.
  16. My exact thoughts/feelings here. I haven't seen an inch of snow on the ground here in.... I can't even remember. Just to see it falling and getting and inch or two would make me happy! Also, IMO, half the fun of these things is having something to track 4 days out, etc. It's why we're all on here and have fun with it!
  17. Glad we don't cliff dive in the mountain forum. We've seen things change for the BEST or WORSE within a day. It's never over until it is.
  18. Very light snow here at the office in South Asheville. .
  19. 18Z GFS has snow starting to move into the area by 10AM Friday.
  20. This solution would be great! Not only for us, but for our other snow-starved friends in the SE chat. Lets reel it in!
  21. Textbook run w/ that one. Still holding. LOL!
  22. 18Z NAM taking quite a shift with cold and moisture.
  23. Yep! No major shift, which is what I am keeping an eye on right now. We're still solid at the moment.
  24. Trying my damn best not to get too excited until tomorrow afternoon's runs, or do a play by play. Eagerly watching the 12Z ECMWF.
