Well, safe to say ATL forecast busted on the POSITIVE side. Rain showers, snow showers, freezing rain, and sleet before 4pm, then rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain between 4pm and 5pm, then freezing rain after 5pm. High near 34. Light south wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.3 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Well, I will be keeping an eye on the HRRR, other than that, it's radar and surface maps. Won't be long now!

SREF PLUMES QPP MEAN is .70in KAVL. If we can get that, and dodge the ice, we'll be golden.

I was surprised to see all snow moving into ATL when I woke up. Looks like it's thumping now.

11Z HRRR keeps it mainly snow through midnight or so. There will be some backend precip. 4-6 IMBY. I would gladly take that. Either way, going to be a nice day of watching the snow fall almost the entire time. It has been a WHILE since we've seen that, even if it doesn't amount to insane totals.
