  1. Regardless of whether the season turns around, I'd much rather have an early loaded season than a later one.

Higher sun angles and lengthening days get me thinking of fishing rather than snowpack.

06z gfs went back to showing snow for Saturday night.

00z euro did give about 1-2” over the interior too N of pike. There were a few members on the EPS that did have warning snows but it wasn’t many. Still something to watch…esp interior.

Might need to head to Pit 2......looks like a better spot than Westborough.

How was his post lacking respect? Lol.  I may not agree with the pessimism but are we looking for everyone to bow down to our thoughts?

Perhaps a little too much egg nog........

I still don't see anything to get excited about in terms of storms...while that certainly could change, I previously stated that I will not be suprised if we waste early January and need to wait until late month, beyond the reshuffle/thaw.

Will there be anytihng to thaw?

Doea anyone know where I can find snow depth for a specific day? Wondering how many actual white Christmas’s I’ve had since 1990.

    You ask Will.

There is evidence/speculation that coyotes have mated with wolves on their eastward migration.  Like Will said, coywolf.

Dollars to donuts, just regular old coyote.

When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses, not zebras.” This maxim coined by Dr Theodore Woodward in the 1940s is a useful reminder that we should diagnose the common causes rather than search, at exorbitant length (and cost), for low probability causes

It’s rare to have a winter rain event raise the lake level on the “6th Great Lake” to a level above the spring melt.  December never gets the highest water level of the year.  Add it to the list of things we haven’t seen in a minute of history.

Its been a wet year overall.

Nice Mike, Congrats, That will bode very well heading up or down the Kennebec, Looks like moving to Maine is sooner rather then later.

Thanks.  We'll see what curves life throws my way.......I think another 2 years is within the cards.  At least that's the current thinking.

Congrats Mike! Good that you have a picture of one of the two happiest days in a boat owner's life.

Installed a generator at a house right on the water in Wareham today. Steady wind, absolutely freezing

LOL.  I just made the first payment so that day is now in the past.  :)

No more worries of outages with the generator all wired!

It better be plus, We get to the second week of Jan and no results, My patience will start to wear quite thin.

Any feelings of despair I have over lack of snow this winter will be tempered by the upcoming first season with my new toy.

Not sure I trust CMP website. ETA on power is Friday, 10pm. Odd because there are roads not far from us that also list the same date, yet had power on this morning. Gonna suck hard if it's 2 more days. I saw where most of the trees were on lines and they have been removed as of this morning.

They were showing Pit 2 with an restoration of 11:00pm. tonight.  It actually came on before noon.

Looks like the Androscoggin River in Auburn for this event will fall in 4th place as it crested at 20.27'.

    Historic Crests
    (1) 27.57 ft on 03/20/1936
    (2) 23.71 ft on 04/02/1987
    (3) 22.84 ft on 03/28/1953
    (4) 17.80 ft on 03/01/1896
    (5) 17.42 ft on 05/13/1989

Eyeballing the list, looks like only 3 of the earlier ones were in December (2003, 1969, and 1910).

    Power's back on at Pit2.
