Tons of wildfire smoke back with us the next two days. Smoky
Especially for NNE. Hoping the near surface level smoke avoids us down here.

1.30 here. Missed on the heavy stuff with both storms which is fine by me.

Stuff in CT doesn’t seem Too bad. Not like earlier. PVD about to be crushed.
Was thinking the same. The stuff south of I islip looks impressive though.

Currently sitting at .9 inches while 1 mile to my south they have 3 inches and heavy rain. Just missing out on the big stuff so far.

If any model did well RGEM probably won but I chalk that to a broken clock being right once. It was clearly a nowcast setup and what we needed didn’t happen for 90% of us. Cheers to those who did get deluged on the east end.
12k NAM I thought actually did a pretty good job. Here was yesterdays 6z run

Yep, Ida. That may have been the first high risk too in NE?
And that one was justified. Craziest rainstorm I can ever recall here.

How’d it do for today .. yesterday?
Good to know the NAM can’t even get a 7 hour forecast right lol and yet some people think the 84 hour NAM means something.

There legit isn’t a single dry day of weather in the northeast on the GFS lol

Air feels noticeably cleaner here now. Can actually see the sun. Feels incredible vs the garbage we have been breathing in the past few days.

This forum is more busier now than it was throughout the whole winter.
Helps when there is actually something to talk about.

Not saying very much.
Also can’t even make out where the sun is anymore. Still choking thick here.
This morning felt like a breath of fresh air compared to what we are experiencing right now. If tomorrow is like this morning then that is fine by me lol

Looks like tomorrow won’t be nearly as bad as today if the latest HRRR is accurate.
