Was just out for a bit and it definitely feels drier.

Cumberland at 94 and Oakland 75 -- you folks with place out there have it nice!

Must be high elevation. The temps at the airport seems to be near 60 with rain most of the forecast period.
I found it -- in those peaks around 12,000 feet. Wild looking forecast though -- wonder what it's like there in winter!
83/70 now and movin' on up

89/70. Tasty looking t-storm just rolled thru Calvert and dropped their temp to 75
I was looking at temps/dews in northern MS and eastern AR and there are many HX readings of 112-120

0.67 which is the best rain in weeks here. Very much needed
Looked at CoCoRaHS for last 30 days -- Jefferson in southern FredCo has 2.06 while a spot in far NW DC has 14.37!

Radar would say it's pouring where you are
Yes! We finally caught a nice thundershower which was so needed for the parched lawn. No bad winds or hail which I am fine with

Another flood watch. LOL I have had more flood watches than tenths of inches of rain for the past few weeks

Another dry day in the central MD desert. Yard is hard as a rock and it's really gonna get crispy here with hot temps moving in this week

Fixed it for you. But man is it muggy out there! 83/72

Enjoyed a nice afternoon/evening outside at a winery with friends then back home on the deck, confident the whole time that rain would not ruin our fun. Desert privilege pays sometimes
I still believe I am under an inch for the month and expect 0.00 on Monday
-
The area could use a break from severe anyway after last Tuesday. With real heat finally building in next week, anyone who loses power in storms on Monday will be really crying

Nice morning at 68 degrees. Best time to sit outside before the annual cicadas get going. The gnats are really bad this summer with it being so dry

Last 30 days. Amazing how some places have less than 2" (my little green pixel) and others nearby have 6-10 plus.

Managed 0.23 from our thundershower which is decent for this area. Might get us close to a whole inch for the month

It blew the kids plastic toy house about 75 yards into the neighbors yard. My patio furniture is all over the yard. It’s a mess.
Wow just read your posts, that is some crazy stuff -- sounds like 80-plus gusts? Even if straight-line winds, being on top of that ridge probably made them stronger in your yard

76 with full sun at 11 am on July 11 is fantastic! Got some good gardening done this morning. Looking ahead is mostly 80s with maybe near 90 a couple days. One of my son's friends just moved to Austin and is in shock over the temps there.

Managed 0.29 with some showers today and still have <1" for the last two weeks.

0.06 overnight and still no decent rain for many weeks here. Just got my new irrigation system that will make watering the garden much easier. Looks like I'll get to use it today here in Maryland's desert.

I watered the garden knowing we'd miss out again. I got a brief shower, then this solid line formed just east and moved NE. It's like clockwork. Just got a nice new irrigation system today that will be so nice to install and avoid fighting gnats, mosquitos and tumbleweeds to water the garden.

A Flood Watch?
@BlizzardNole Oof... and with that, there goes any small chance you had of getting good rain. Better get watering!
That's OK Getting our old fence replaced today so we need the Germantown shield. Watching them dig the new holes and man it's dry down deep.
Tough folks as the sun's out and the HX is 90

Another strong front and daytime highs -10 for Sat and Sun?
My point/click has a high of 79 on Sunday with sun. How's that for mid-July!
Hoping for rain for my parched yard this evening, but wouldn't be surprised to get shut out for the whole week

The fat lady is warming up for those of us not being impacted by the King George, VA cluster. HRRR continues to suck for this afternoon.
She's being singing in Germantown for weeks. I'll just see myself over to the drought thread

Some crazy radar estimates for rain amounts in parts of Montgomery.
Not for Germandesert. Near shut out as usual. Simply does not rain here in summer

I saw that article. My milkweeds are doing well and I've seen a few monarchs in the last few days finally. Usually Aug and Sept are my big monarch months.
