There' was a band near Dover, NJ that just sat and sat for hours earlier today.
With the upcoming pattern (drink!), I think even Raleigh will get in on the fun especially early on as suppression is more of a thing.
What a fun storm! Just took a walk around the neighborhood in the snow...roads covered again and its such a pretty winter scene. While we didn't get 16", this has been a great storm. Pure winter out there. In a Nina to boot.
One of the things I'm trying to learn is how to read that map and tell if its a cold/dry look (I get the placement of the NAO/AO/EPO/etc). But to me that would seem to suggest NS dominated and/or cold/dry. Deepest low heights are centered over the great lakes.
The next few weeks there should be great with the upcoming pattern. Hitting climo (at least) looking more and more likely. Already surpassed last year’s total (which isn’t saying much lol)
