I’d argue that surface temps aren’t necessarily the biggest issue here for many. Especially N/W of the cities. Maybe that will end up not being the case, but every bit of guidance is showing a warm layer above the surface.
NAM is holding steady with its rather quick change to ice. Snow amounts cut back all the way up into southcentral pa. That warm tongue around 850 is a PITA.

i make the drive to PSU regularly throughout the year and for the last 25 years. Roads on Sunday will largely be fine. Your usual icy spots, but there shouldn’t be any major issues on the primary roads.
