I dont think people realize that 14.4" is top 10 all time for DC. A 10" snowfall in dc proper is fairly rare, so Ji's question is an easy one to answer for me.
Might as well set some new marks for DCA this year. It could be the first time they’ve ever had back 2 back winters with less than an inch of snow. Probably unlikely. And, with less than 10 inches, it would be the first ever 5 yr stretch with at least 4 years having less than 10 inches. I’d wager chances of this happening are good.

It’s all relative. Plenty of resorts out west are doing fine, but maybe still AOB avg for snow. The best of the bunch right now seems to be Alyeska with well over 300” on the yr already. But it’s farrrrr from the lower 48
