  1. So where did it form in relation to where the models say it was going to form? What implications...higher/lower snowfall/dry slots, etc., does that mean for us.
  2. I'm here. Rabun County, Clayton, a few miles from SC on 76E
  3. Winter Storm Watch issued by GSP for Rabun County. Reading their forecaster discussion, said QPF decreased some and 2-4" for us on western CWA. I'm happy with 2-4", but was somehow thinking it was more than that.
  4. Trees down, no power to almost 60% of Rabun County, GA, what an amazing storm to track! Thank you to all who answered, explained patiently, discussed and was with me on this incredible ride. Now into the next!
  5. If this has been answered already, sorry for asking again, but having conflicting radars. In Clayton, GA in Rabun County. Shows we will be getting thunderstorms in some future radars and others are showing freezing rain. Which is correct??
  6. Had 10 minutes of sleet/graupel around 2, nothing since. Temps are slowly falling here in Clayton, GA.
  7. Point and click on NOAA has lowered our ice totals from .5-.9 to .3-.7. Still not good. Hearing around here that it's coming in later/drier? In Rabun County. Temp is been steady at 40° since yesterday. Slight breeze now and then.
  8. Thank you, and it's the same argument I just had with my daughter who is my GM and that is exactly what she told her district and regional managers. I am forwarding this to her, too.
  9. Forecast discussion out of GSP states Rabun County could potentially see higher totals, but our point and click forecast shows a high end of .7 of ice with minimal sleet/Now and then a heavy rain. Some district and/or regional managers of restaurants/convenience stores here have implemented safety over profit and are shutting down early tomorrow, but there are others who are saying this is going to be a mostly very very low end ice mostly rain event and still will be open and want everyone to be on call and come in as usual on Saturday/Sunday/Monday because of tons of dry air that this will have to overcome.
