    It's also showing 10:1 ratios when it won't be. It's stacking snow like it's below freezing when it's not. So those amounts aren't going to be close.

    It’s trying to warm aloft. Can see melting layer on BOX slowly moving NW. Probably won’t go too far though.

    It's going to be a close battle as it tries to warm from the east, but lift gets deeper. Will be interesting to see what happens.

    I just don't see a reason to be aggressive with higher end ranges. I think Ryan had a good map. I hope I am wrong.

    The euro has a consolidated low, but it swung real far out. I can see your point of view, and perhaps for a very small area that might be true, but for the most part across the region, I think having a more consolidated low helps. I mean look at the 12z NAM yesterday.

    A faster consolidated low also has to do with the s/w in question, and this is independent of the inv trough. There are so many moving parts.

    Ray lows pivoting in were part of the reason many of us didn't feel comfortable about ern mass. But also the nipple low absolutely torched lower levels even in ern areas. Those solutions had the low pivot all the way into Bar Harbor with meager amounts of snow outside the ORH hills and south of SNH. With a consolidated low, you'll have a much better shot at the CCB in most of the area. Maybe extreme ern areas play with fire.

    Seems like that area is sampled well though coming off land and with satellites etc. I dunno.
