    H5 kind of gets squashed on GFS. At hr120, you can see almost two seperate s/w's within the s/w trough itself. That won't allow that to dig much. Fighting each other in a way.

    That big ridge sort of turns into a Hudson Bay type block on guidance with good Scooter high signal. Yes it's not cold...but that isn't a torch signal except maybe overnight mins. Then it appears -EPO/+PNA sets up. I sure hope so.

    I will say the one thing I do like, and this kinda goes back to Will and I were just discussing, is that it does have a hang back look. if you look at the isobars, you can definitely get a feel that there’s an extended sort of northeast flow look helping to keep moisture hanging around. It doesn’t mean it would be a lot of QPF, but definitely lingering snow as it gets very cold. There’s another s/w that comes in too.

    At least this snow is satisfying. We had a couple of decent bands last night. Was 31.8 when I got up. Looks really nice and perfect snowman snow as my kids found out at the bus stop. 33 now so the melt begins.
