  1. It does look violent. But as I said before, I had to chop it down first because it was just too much for the snowblower.
  2. Well it was in the realm of possibilities, but definitely didn’t expect a gfs whiff. Northern stream is zipping along and does not allow the nrn stream s/w to phase in.
  3. Mind you this was before the V Day blitz.
  4. 9 years ago today started what was a long duration, but solidifying a stretch likely not to be beaten in this area. My best estimates were a conservative 30", but 36" was reported nearby. When the pack gets so deep it's tough to measure...you know it's special. I understand this did not impact many in CT/RI/S coast and even metro west all that much, but for this area, it sealed epicosity. Late Sunday into Monday really boosted the rates with OE and naked CF twister. I spent 3 hrs cleaning my driveway, deck, and part of my roof. I disappeared for a half hour to take a walk and absorb it all. As much as a disappointment these last two winters have been...I thank the good lord for being able to witness that stretch in 2015.
  5. Last two really. I was just talking to Will about this. I never expected much from this event...recall we said the first such event during this "pattern change" probably favored interior. But at the same time I'm just like..."can't something go right for once?"
  6. Yeah that swings east and definitely helps us. At least this bombs and switches winds north quickly. I just hope it doesn't do that over my head lol.
  7. Too bad another 30-40miles south and Tip's (dynamics should suffice) statement would be true. Very dynamic.
  8. Alright well in all seriousness, this probably is interior favored. Maybe deep interior. Just looking at the EPS mean...you have a ridge on the west coast (typically not a suppressed look) and not much confluence to our north. Maybe that nrn stream moves in a little quicker to help prevent that low from taking off due north...but my gut says this is definitely at least an interior event.

  10. I'm just going to sit here and stare at the clouds while imagining a euro and gfs compromise. Hell...throw in a Ukraine-Russia peace agreement along with Israel and Palestine. About all as likely.
  11. Like I said yesterday. Something is brewing. But I feel like I know where this is heading.
  12. There’s a bunch of big members right into SNE. Chicken coops win again.
