  1. Reminds me of those December looks in Nino when you have a blow torch pattern across a majority of the CONUS, but a 1040 high noses in and somehow gives the interior snow/Ice amid a furnace aloft. However, the folks from the lower MS valley to the Mid Atlantic sure aren't partaking in this.
  2. These pushes of CAA with N-NE flow usually don't do it here. Need a crisp polar continental airmass with low dews on NW flow.
  3. I think it ends up AN as well. At least here in the eastern US. I feel like this -PNA look continues through mid month.
  4. Every station around including Blue Hills is between about 0.6F to 1.4F.
  5. And most other people/mets are throwing up the oh well emoji.
  6. Euro has the chance of the first synoptic snow of the season across the NNE mtns, especially the mtns of NW Maine. Low levels may be borderline, but E-NE flow banked against the high terrain may help cool it a tad. Elsewhere, a fascinating temp gradient exists between, say, BOS to DC. Euro has +22C at 850 in the Mid Atlantic. That's just amazing to see. It looks like we'll be in the 40s and 50s with rain Thursday and Friday. Interior likely below 50 one or both days.
  7. Was 55 with a stiff NE wind when i left. I was surprised how breezy it was.
  8. That will be us later this week. Temp is actually down a notch to 69 now, but with no wind it feels really nice.
  9. Beautiful here. Sunny and cracking 70 shortly.
  10. Cold rain comin’ later this week. Ray’s nostalgic fire place smoke will certainly be in the air. The first real synoptic rain event since June it seems.
  11. Yeah further south I think. But near pike could be tricky.
  12. Big ole bust yesterday. Will try for 80 Wednesday, but front sagging south like a hair follicle on Kevin’s head may make it hard.
  13. January 78 was also closer. That’s definitely PDI.
  14. 78 was much closer. Look how the cirrus barely gets here. A ray special.
  15. That HP later this week is total nudity. Let’s hope we get that in winter.
  16. Yep. Tables are turning. Looks darn chilly end of week and weekend.
  17. The board and summer both broken. In any case, starting to see the responses in wavelengths changing. You can see how on the op runs, there is a tendency for slowing mixing systems and cutoffs.
  18. It’s a possibility. I started thinking this yesterday when it looked like return airmass at the surface wasn’t going to be as good as it looked a few days ago. Guidance was warmer then. Would be a fail from me 3 days out.
  19. 78 here. Block party today for my hood. Looks like a great day for it.
