  1. BUFKIT showed the potential though. Not the 80-100mph clown maps.
  2. Yeah and it's brief it seems. I think NYC peaked. So, that is where the LLJ really is where lapse rates steepen and we're able to mix.
  3. ILG had 51kts from the NW. That's pretty good.
  4. Would have thought Belmar NJ would have been over 50.
  5. Sticks out like a sore thumb though.
  6. Getting a bit of a breeze now.
  7. Near when EWr got it. Wonder if it could have been from a shower too.
  8. 54kts ewr. 52kts jfk and lga.
  9. 57kts ACY earlier. Not bad.
  10. The center of this will be a little broader and sort of oblong. So the exact center position won't matter too much.
  11. This will be just west of NYC and a broader low.
  12. Yeah it did. It had like best winds on the Cape.
  13. It's pretty similar to Irene, right near NYC. Irene was stronger though.
  14. This is not a Bob...lol. Probably a weaker Irene.
  15. I saw. Just depends on mixing.
  16. Looks like strongest winds there at 950 are in between the times you posted. That's how fast it will be moving. In and out.
  17. The key is behind the line of shwrs. That's when laps rates steepen and when best winds occur. Not ahead of it.
  18. I think it is possible at your elevation. You basically need to mix, so note I said "possible." That's the difference between 40 and 60.
  19. Ryan posted the OKX sounding at 12 Z. That is pretty nuts for NYC.
  20. I do think the threat is real in SW CT for sure.
  21. Yeah wiz, I don’t know about a strong type of tornado, but with these TCs you get a lot of EF1s and maybe even an EF2. I think for us it depends on that arc of cells that is off the Delmarva. But I’m not sure how much oomph that has when it comes up here. The peak of the tornado stuff I think is now in the Delmarva.
