  1. Iceland is freaking out the aviation industry. Everyone has PTSD from the 2010 event. The latest volcano on watch is a more lava flow volcano and not the explosive ones.
  2. This whole season has not behaved like Nina it seems. I haven't looked, but maybe the tropical forcing is playing around with the Pacific and giving rise to some western ridging as modeled.
  3. 00z GEFS sort of had that -EPO look too like the EPS. Maybe some slight differences in details, but yeah that would work.
  4. Same type of deal here with those pics. Just stacked on the cars and a little wetter than what he had, but about the same amount.
  5. I know I said this yesterday, but honestly each run almost gets better and better there.
  6. I fumbled that one. Figured it was congrats freak up until the day before. And certainly did not expect that much snow.
  7. We had snow to start briefly, but then went to rain and sleet literally for almost 24 hrs. Back to snow late night into the 6th and got a good dump then.
  8. Hopefully engaging in violence after mid month.
  9. The pattern does sort of get better and better with each run on the EPS. There is certainly a window there.
  10. I'm just being dumb. The ides of March.
  11. Disappointing storm near and south of BOS, but a great ending.
  12. I think best thump I've ever had. 16.5" and most of that in 3 hrs. We had at least 4-5"/hr rates at one point. I literally had no semblance of visibility out the window. Blue hills had nearly 0.40" in 1 hr of melted liquid. Insane. That fell right at 32.0 as well.
  13. Starting to get on the St Ides train.
  14. I will say the EPS has shown steady interest (at least how I see it) in that period after the late week torch next week. I don't see the classic look yet, but you have a little meridional flow out of NW Canada, a little Greenland ridging, a little confluence in SE Canada. You get the idea.
  15. It’s funny that the 80s winters sucked in general, but had some late season beasts.
  16. ‘84 I believe. Epic tornado outbreak there. Blue hills had a gust around 100mph. Big snows interior and even near the coast got it pretty good near BOS.
  17. 6z GFS was nice. If you look beyond the QPF queens, nice signal near the pike.
  18. There are signs of something maybe mid month or so...maybe continues into the 3rd week of March, but nothing imminent.
  19. The futility topic had me thinking. I wonder if I endured the least snowiest January 1 to December 31 (2012) and snowiest January 1 to December 31 (2015) on record. All within 3 years.
