  1. That looks decent on satellite
  2. Yeah starting to look like Dorian.
  3. If it’s ok in SE winds she will be fine.
  4. Biggest question is wind field IMO. I also think surge (esp away from center) will not be as high as forecasted.
  5. That looks more reasonable.
  6. Basically the same. Maybe 5kts lower in Isis? 2019 was a cat 1.
  7. Sandy got an ET boost. With this going into cooler waters and looking like crap with limited ET boost, I don’t see this getting much stronger. That’s all.
  8. Sandy was about 50mb deeper lol
  9. Yeah it’s still not a typical expansion as modeled. I still agree with Nick it may expand more than models, but it also looks like junk.
  10. Just saw IR. Not really any deep convection near center.
  11. Meh nothing impressive verbatim east of track.
  12. Jay go to the south shore. They lose power for days in every blizzard lol. A lot of it due to heavy wooded areas. CT is also heavily wooded and that just adds to the issue with 60mph winds and foliated trees.
  13. Yeah will it? It seems Awfully tight for something our latitude.
  14. Yeah I don’t think people realize how fragile it is.
  15. Amazing how tight wind field is
  16. I like that track on the gfs as far as how I feel it goes. Big winds for RI.
  17. Yeah was thinking not great looking.
  18. The model strength of the ULL and how far it digs down and also strength intensity. I think if the storm is stronger it may help it get tugged west due to the mid and upper level flow helping to steer the storm along path of least resistance.
  19. I still favor maybe BID to GON landfall. Question is what happens after.
  20. Not sure convective allowing models are good for TCs. The same models in 2015 that PF used to bring snow as he rocked back and forth violently with Heady Topper in hand.
  21. They expanded east probably to acknowledge trends but didn’t move track much.
  22. There is some convection trying to wrap around the center. But, this shows signs of what happens when troughs interact. That kidney bean and lopsided area of convection indicative of some shear and dry air. It doesn’t mean and can’t gain a little steam, but that it’s fighting some hostility.
  23. Decoupling and then fighting some shear and dry air as it tries to organize.
