  1. Pretty good cold pool on our side. True PV is on other side of pole, but enough of one exists on this side and is pinned here allowing Canada to be cold. That looks to try to spill into the US. Also, 50mb strat PV aligns fairly well with the 500mb look. So it seems like there is some stability to the look. Normal caveats apply, but fingers crossed.
  2. I need Tammy to come down and tell me what I have. Some are getting nude, some just turning haha.
  3. Yeah. I mean if you look at the thicknesses you think snow, but it's cold aloft with WAA ahead of it around 850 and below. Will take a little time below 2K.
  4. LOL, that was always my "old man way" of knowing if I was screwed. Although if it is more high based, that signaled a colder and drier layer typically. But that is funny you referenced that. Also the wall of snow, typical for that initial fronto band in big storms. They all have it. 2005, 2013, 2015 etc.
  5. I feel like it may be one of those 2k or higher deals, but you may flip to snow at the end?
  6. I want to see if my leaf pack exceeds the snowpack I may have this winter.
  7. Low was 37 here. Roses still going.
  8. Hard to imagine a foot of snow falling near the canal this time of year, but it happened on this date in 1987.
  9. Still need to watch early next week, but that may be more NNE. Although 6z gfs is a little more interesting for interior.
  10. Looks like a tornado went to your left. Didn’t that happen or was that your old House?
  11. I’m not near a laptop, but if you loop 500 vorticity, look how that s/w pivots in and then sort of kicks out and aligns almost east to west. You can look at temperature and winds too and you’ll see a very cold pocket of air moving in and also very strong winds on the east side of it. It just means the atmosphere rapidly destabilizes in the mid levels and usually you get some convective elements, strong winds on back side etc. Maybe a few rumbles in the warm sector to the east and TSSN in the VT mtns?
  12. That system Saturday night....that’s a hell of a s/w. Could be quite dynamic.
  13. I do it a few times. I just mean that it doesn’t drive me nuts like it does to Kevin. It’s Fall.
  14. Happened in 2018. Just did it when it melted a few days later.
  15. We had another good one just after NY. Long duration event, but that was mostly ern areas for the bigger amounts.
  16. It's Fall though and I don't care. Let the leaves bury the yard.
  17. I blow them off. I'm not anti leaf blower. I may just put them in a pile and have someone pick them up.
  18. Is it? That is strange. That whole side of the business sort of broke off so I don't really see much as to what is going on internally. Maybe I can find out.
  19. The EPS would have many without clothes a month front now. That's an active look. The cold may be borderline outside far interior and elevations/NNE etc...but that is a nice look.
