I mean how many times have we seen that and it goes from offshore to a local jack....or am 18" storm here to 6"-->rain with a jack near Albany. Maybe this one is different...but I just feel like it comes west.

I feel like a weenie, but I just feel like this has a few tricks up its sleeve. Why do I feel like 3K NAM might have an idea?

I think the weenie band stuff is that one band prior to the onset of the meaty stuff. You can see it on some QPF fields. It's a band of snow well ahead of the main stuff. I'm not sure the main storm will have much of a big band well NW as it deepens quickly and consolidates. Maybe early on, but it contracts quickly.

Could see a weenie fronto band well NW before the initial surge of precip.

Yes I said that near dawn yesterday for my area and Tblizz. That wasn't far fetched for the coast. I agree with Will in that a bigger event is not far fetched. That's how I felt since then.

Also the "worry east" crowd is saying that as they are 100 miles to the west. Obviously easier to say that. My comments are more for this area.

Yes, after 6z yesterday I said a track near ACK or the elbow. Obviously that may be tough to accomplish, but on the other hand, I'll take the over on 1-2". If I'm wrong, oh well. It's weather forum. I don't forecast.
