  2. Because perhaps the ridg/trough placement isn’t ideal for a specific location. But progressive patterns are ones that offer weak or no cyclogenesis. This one is going to have a strong system offshore.
  3. If we can get the s/w mossing off the Mid Atlantic at hr 114 on the 6z EPS, that leaves room to come closer. 6z EPS takes the s/w at the base of the trough and tries to blow it up at the end of the run. For 6 days out, I don’t have a huge issue. I get what the caveats are.

  6. It’s not in a classic spot at 250. I see what you mean. It’s possible other processes are at work that sort of Override the favorable jet position of where the low should be.
  7. It could be a timing thing, I guess for me I see some ingredients in play for something during that timeframe.
  8. That s/w trough goes negative and then the disturbance in the nrn stream comes in and phases. So that will act to pull it west.
