  1. That is a great depiction of what you want in a cold press.
  2. I literally give it same weight as gfs now.
  3. I wouldn't mind some meat in the pack to help seal it up from Tippy Feb sun. It's still weak, but those days near 32 and full sun do melt it.
  4. That has nothing to do with mid level warmth. Mid level warm tongues laugh at surface highs.
  5. It did get rid of those 50s to SNH. It's possible south of the pike still tickles it, but residence time of that is less.
  6. On the Euro very little. Will even said yesterday there is only a narrow area, and that was with a wider area of precip.
  7. Weaker system. Which means better cold press but less moisture behind front. Looks good for Brian north on 6z euro. Maybe several inches for you?
  8. There’s work to be done. You want weaker srn stream, but then lose the juice for precip behind the front. Not much room to “win.”
  9. 6z euro still is meh. Narrow precip shield so when cold enough there’s not much left.
  10. Still waiting. February hasn’t started yet.
  11. I just think the gfs was fairly consistent from Friday on. Maybe even Thursday night. That euro runs from 00z to 12. Friday? Woof. I Don’t have faith in euro like I used to, and that mentality helped the forecast for Saturday.
  12. So it was more within 36 hrs where it did it. Even worse. Those 00z and 06z runs LOL.
  13. These people slobber over the ecmwf weenie.
  14. I’m sticking with warmer solutions. Too much troughing out west.
  15. Who cares what it had a week out. When it comes to the critical time inside 2-3 days it just did not do well. Total opposite of what it used to do inside 3 days. The GFS wasn't perfect either, but man between QPF and mid level low placement, it did decent overall. QPF was too low so adjusted for that..but Euro didn't really have a clue until Friday and that was an awful jump by that model.
