Ice skaters have been toiling around all morning on our local kettle pond. The melt and refreeze made for perfect conditions it appears. Would love cold and dry until the next snow but looks like a major cutter . Folks on the elevated west side of New England have a good shot of backside CCB snow. The jury is still out on whether this can bomb out earlier giving NNE a good snowstorm

DIT melted and is very very angry this fine Christmas eve morning. I totally understand his angst. Poor kid. Lol I do have a swiss cheese back yard not exposed to the sun snow.

Imagine the youngsters here all excited about a wire to wire Dec cold and snow of old only to have their dreams ripped out of their souls.

Some know the drill, some panic. Hopefully we have a very snowy time from Mid Jan right through the end of March.

Bottom line is most of us in SNE are AN snow and going to be about average temps going into Jan. Definitely a bummer we dont have a conducive pattern for a couple of weeks. It's not locked in though. Ignore the man behind the curtain.

I think I said buckle up after the first week? I also said I wasn't convinced he would get his punt off. First 18 days of Dec were rocking and melting. You can't take credit for the whole month especially when you choked on the most important snowy week of your year according to you and we melted with cutters. You say Dec snow even if 2 inches is better than 20 inches in March so congrats on that. Too bad we had all the cutters and rain in your cold and snowy Dec.
