  1. Yea dirt cellars but Ray's house looks relatively new?
  2. I don't have water issues but certainly worry about trees. I will take the west side with minimal winds if I had a choice
  3. How does one get worms in the basement
  4. Nice to see so many local newcomers here
  5. No guarantees but if you give some edibles I can predict your winds tomorrow at noon for Sunday lol. You probably gust to 50 though. Very close to the ocean. But if you are behind the hills by the golf course less but down by the turf fields more.
  6. Globals say Narragansett Bay to MVY
  7. I think you are right, all of CT is under the gun for tropical rains . Would not be surprised to see 6 to 8 inches across the state with Mr Tolland epicenter again. Classic western wall of water
  8. I have been hammering the upwelling issue as well. The depth of warm water just south of New England is shallow. Add in East NE winds and upwelling rapidly cools the surface.
  9. Quonnie pond should be fine. That barrier beach is called a barrier for a reason, maybe 2 foot rise.
  10. Staffordville normally has 46 inches in a water year, Oct to Oct, they currently have 63
  11. Average here is 50 plus inches 21 since May 1. 40 on the year
  12. Where on the water? My hometown I know the surge zones very well.

  14. Bad news for the AEMATT crew
  15. Time waits for no one and it won't wait for me. Too bad you are a landlubber this time around. Nice surge and surf. Friday night we will look at I.K.E. to see what size wall of water headed up
  16. Should we repost the NHC director at the AMS conference PowerPoint on why no one should ever use the NAM for tropical systems
  17. Sea surface temp for a relatively slowly moving tropical system can really unravel them fast. Inversions happen and winds become lofted. Inner nest of HWRF shows this well with SST underlayment first set of model depictions. Look at what occurs as Henri slowly loses the gulf stream. Also note the upwelling ahead of the system. The warm water in New England waters is shallow and upwelling occurs quickly with strong NE, E winds.
  18. I had 6.82 in Bob on the decaying western eyewall and that was hauling. There will be 8 plus amounts if things pan out as depicted.
