    Don't know about anyone else, but I've seen light snow/flurries as far north as Hazleton and White Haven this afternoon...

    Impressive cold this morning, not in how low it got, but how low it got without any snowcover. We are down to +7 here in Tamaqua, which is the lowest temp of the winter for my backyard station. I suppose the tulips (the parts out of the ground anyway) took a good hit.

    That's one of my problems. I hate dressing for it. I love the free feeling of shorts and t-shirts, not the restricted feeling of layering up and/or wearing heavy, bulky coats.

    I've only shoveled once, myself. All the others were sweepable. It's amazing how inconsistent year to year can be.

    Six years ago today. I shovel the yard for the dog so I don't have a million land mines to clean up come spring time. Check out the size of the snow piles. By comparison, our dog is a 60 lb Black Lab and the wooden fence is 6 feet high...

    Well, it must have held together somewhat. Woke up to a coating on cars and the grass. I'd venture to guess not much more than a tenth of an inch, but it did snow overnight.

    And everything out ahead of it is dying out right at the Susquehanna. Wonder if the squall line will as well...

    That's so cool to see. Like I said in my post, I'd never seen it before. I just happened to be outside at the right moment.

    We got one, which I kind of figured might happen once we were given a hazardous weather outlook this morning.

    Maybe, but I almost wish we were getting about 4" of snow before the cold hits. The tulips are about 1-2 inches out of the ground, and a covering of snow would protect them somewhat from the harsh cold.

    I'm just getting sick of the parade of storms at this point. How many months now have been above normal with precipitation?

    Thanks! it's not something I wanted to do, but I've hardly worked since Christmas, so a change needed to be made. If I stayed, I'd have to endure another 2 months of hit or miss work, followed by 2 months of non-stop work (school field trips) followed by about 5 months of hit and miss work again until the Christmas theater trips picked up in November/December, after which it would go in the tank again.

    Regional trucking. I liked the buses, but the work is too seasonal and sporadic.

    Guys, I'm probably going to be starting a new job on Wed/Thur. Whenever I do that in the winter months, it usually snows.
