  1. Hopefully you can stay in that and do some catching up. This was an interesting storm for sure!
  2. Can see where the best snow is setting up, which is to the east of I-81. For the rest of us looks like maybe an inch or two the rest of this afternoon. Sun trying to peak through a little bit ago. Modeling that showed a snow minima of sorts over CNY may end up the most correct.
  3. 8” here, My boss didn’t want to drive to Albany even though I have a 4x4 SUV... so teleconference from home LOL. I know the correct answer when it’s given. Roads aren’t that bad...where it’s plowed, just wet/slushy. Some Light snow still falling. I missed the good part of the storm overnight. Very meh at present.
  4. Gotta rack out. Driving to Albany tomorrow probably for work conference. Not much happening here yet. No wind, mixed precip. Yawn. Congrats to WNY!! About time.
  5. Just checked Some snow mixing in now but still mainly rain. Ground temps so warm this wont accumulate much.. Or it better b4 daylight! I can see grassy accumulations at least.
  6. I90 will be fine tomorrow to Albany. Some slush. We have plows and know how to use them unlike SNE.
  7. Believe me, I'm ok with a few slushy inches. WNY deserves a good dump though. I was ready for golf 2 weeks ago. I wrote this one off a day ago.
  8. Think RGEM and other models snow hole in CNY due to the xfer process...if I wasn't lazy af I'd post Skew-T's. This starts and ends liquid here, albeit brief.
  9. I have 41 and also rain. We have a few hour window for snowfall until early afternoon. After the precip rate drops off and the BL being above 32F turns whatever is falling back to liquid.
  10. Unlikely. I actually measure snowfall with a ruler and report it. This is not SNE.
  11. Dude we rain. Temp has gone up 2 degrees in last 2 hours. This is a yawner here. Let's enjoy WNY's storm for a change! And SNE's virtual storm.
  12. Bruh, Soundings show a brief shot of snow here after rain. Hills a diff story. I just realized this is a separate storm thread. LOL. How New Englandish to have one. Eww. 41 and raining here.
  13. No precipitation here near SYR. Just heavy virga. A blessing. I've decided that i'd rather have a virga storm than 18" of I-95 boilerplate gruel. That's for wankers.
  14. S Fork of LI is already over freezing and just RN, CC is up to 36 and will probably rise another 10...RUC looks good to me which takes slp over BID and CC and slows it up there...HV and ALB look good here, IMO.
  15. Exactly right. Way more demand & much higher pay. I actually thought about a met degree at one point many yrs ago but everyone I talked to said go into engineering (or finance). They weren't wrong and likely even moreso today. Probably more private sector met opportunities exist today than 20-30 yrs ago but the engineering demand is much greater as the US continues to produce increasing volumes of WalMart greeters w/ hs diplomas.
