Seems like we are moving towards a 4-8 inch event on this for a bunch of us. I’d like to be upset, but that’s a bonanza over the last two years.

I’m always rooting for everyone in this forum to get crushed, but a lot of us haven’t seen much snow in two years, so happy to be in the Hagerstown area for this one. Looking great out here.

I’ll echo what others have said, the back end was the best snow of the day. Everything is fluff out there. Ended up with 3.4 inches on the M/D. Great event.

Seeing a couple of reports of 6.5 inches at elevation around Hagerstown. Definitely helps to be up.

Any obs from the Hagerstown area? looks like they might have exceeded the forecast already.
I’m just north of Hagerstown, and I can’t believe they won’t get more than 2 inches. I’m approaching 3 inches right now. Looking at the radar, they could get 5 IMO.

Approaching 2 inches up here on the sidewalk, a little more in the grass.. Roads are terrible. Best rates of the day right now, kids building a snow man. 29.8F and moderate snow.

Trying to get some good vibes south. Moderate snow on the M/D and finally seeing grass and sidewalks starting to cave.
-
Never like seeing the Euro go in the wrong direction, but it still looks like a decent hit for the NW folks.

Officially 6.8 inches on the M/D. Some light sleet still falling. Really a fun little quick-hitting storm. Glad to see so many get in on the action!

Thundersnow in the M/D! Glad it wasn’t just my Hagerstown friends who got some!

Pretty impressive agreement on the models for the precip max on this one.

Flipped back to snow about an hour ago on the M/D. Got about 1/2 inch of new snow. Looks like that southern edge is pulling north a little quicker, so the lull is coming.
-
Snow picked up again along the M/D, heaviest rates the the day. Sidewalks and edges of the road starting to cave again. Folks east will enjoy.

Seems like a significant risk of a missed WSWarning for the northern zones.
Seems like LWX and CTP have both been extremely conservative on this one.

I mean, someone said this yesterday, but the Ukie continues to show basically the exact same result each time. Maybe consistently wrong, but impressive anyway.

3.4 inches right on the M/D. One of the best little storms recently for this area, just given the surprise factor. Roads were as bad as I can remember around Hagerstown this afternoon.

Heaviest snow of the day in Hagerstown (work). WCPS just put out a FB post explaining why they took no action today, and it's getting ratioed pretty hard, lol.

School districts usually error on the side of caution with winter weather around here, but today seems like a super bad call for MD districts.

Any idea on start time for this? I am hearing and seeing conflicting reports on whether it begins after midnight or around the morning commute.

Zone forecasts have 1-3" for HGR and MRB, and around an inch for OKV. So with less than 2" being a possibility, that would preclude the WWA. Probably should stick with the ZFP's and disregard the point-and-click.
I would think with the timing being mid-afternoon and rush hour, that would impact the advisory.

Point and click from NWS has OKV with 1-2" tomorrow; MRB with 1-3" and HGR with 2-4". None of these sites are under the WWA.
Glad I'm not the only one confused on that one.

You know it's a rough storm when you can't even get Nam'd. Us Hagerstown/Frederick/Winchester folks are sliding off into flurries on this run.

I live in this forum’s area and have had drizzle much of the day. Really happy to see the obs from PA. Really warms my heart.
I ended up with 3.8 inches, if you were keeping a chart. Over to rain now, so we all drizzle together.

31.2 and moderate snow on the M/D north of Hagerstown. Grass and car tops have caved.
