Just flipped to a sleet/ rain mix. 2.0" of new snow today. Snow depth is 4.0"
Heaviest snow of the evening right now. Guess I can smell the sleet.

1.5" of lemonade. Moderate snow with flakes getting larger. 32.5 degrees.
Not sure how long I can hold off the sleet.
When you start sleeting, I know I’ll have about 1 more hour of snow up way way, lol.

1.8 inches measured just now. Temp is hanging on at 31.6F. M/D crew doing alright so far.

Is this storm going to be good for anyone up the coast...NAM sure is ugly for the NE weenies
Some of the worst last-minute trends I can remember. Folks who were expecting a foot yesterday might be getting an inch of rain instead.

I think we want it stronger to help compress the flow some. It's weaker than 6z for sure but I'm not smart enough to know exactly how one effects the other.
Would love someone to explain exactly what we want from this storm in regards to Sunday. I keep seeing conflicting statements on it.

The little engine that could. Just came home to 10.5” in Ashburn Village. So much for a dusting to 2”. Maybe I’ll retire on that note ;-).
Looking forward to some of the autopsies on this storm, including yours. Seems like a lot of mets went pretty conservative, and this thing really performed.

Snow finally broke through the M/D about 30 minutes ago. Pouring snow right now. Looks like the western edge is still building, a nice little surprise for us northerner folk.

I see all that snow to my south towards Winchester. How far north does it make it? MD line?

Congrats to the dc crew. Happy for you guys.
Totals along the M/D line has been somewhat underwhelming. Close to what had been advertised for most of the week , but yesterday's bump north on the models raised my bar a little.
Yep, I’m measuring just over 2 inches right on the M/D. After we got bumped higher yesterday, this would definitely be a minor bust if this is it.

Randy, you might as well make Ji admin after all, put it to you that way.
I, for one, welcome our new Ji overlords.

That Accu map is going to bust pretty hard around the M/D line, it would seem. 1-3 inches?

Another day and another record. Very impressive !
More negative then yesterday and the event continues.
If we do indeed get the strat to down well accordingly, as it appears it could, I would think some drool worthy looks might be in the cards from the models.
Trying to learn on this complicated issue. How does this create the possibility of anamolous weather?

Just measured 3.1 inches, and we have flipped to a sleet/snow mix. Huge clumps coming down. Temp up to 31.9F.
