Overall warm to hot at times pattern continues through the month and into next month. A two day cool down remains likely Thu (9/1) and Fri (9/2) before warmer air returns next weekend and for labor day. Still have tropical waves on most overnight models in some for or another the first week.

78 cooudy and some light rain overnight/ early morn. We'll see if there is anything left. Warmer Tue (8/23) and back to 90s for many in the region Wed (8/24) - Fri (8/26). The coming Weekend Sat (8/28) and Sun (8/29) looking very nice. Next shot at rain next week and then eyes on the tropics. Overall warm to hot at times last 10 days of August. Euro with latest run shows trough moving in by Labor day weekend and its control run had a hurricane along the east coast around labor day. Overall warm and watch tropics by the start of next month.
