  1. Yeah in truth I've not followed, and just casually peek to see how ugly things look. Guess I could look at verification scores. Both ens members seemed similar in 500 evolution, so i pushed a few chips in.... I have noticed the GFS op seemingly being to cold vs verifcation but again just glancing, not studying. GFS has been consistent w/ Wed and beyond chances for precip from late last week, so i guess that got my interest.
  2. Well i'm hangin my hopes on the GFS ens guidance for .5-1" of precip this week. I'm using my new winter skills of not going beyond 7 days....but if one peeks, yeah there is a pig ridge in the central basin later this week, but heights seem to lower as we get into early next week. Not saying big relief, but maybe a respite if the GFS camp has any merit. maybe its just me weeniecasting/cherrypickin what i want from the models as well....dunno?
  3. If only we could pull off a deal like yesterday and keep the cloud deck around. It was actually enjoyable outside. Sat on back porch w/ my wife and watched "our" hummingbirds hammer the sugar water. and....IMO the HRRRRRRR did a nice job on yesterday rain. Totally died when it hit the river.
  4. Radar says you should be into the rain now. Hope it holds together further east but hrrrrrrr said it goes poof as it hits the river.
  5. dude....love the recently altered location... thats funny stuff (well not really, but it gave me a chuckle.)
  6. well the hot tag is appropriate for all threads right now. keep up the good work and maybe we can get it upgraded to sizzlin
  7. i wish.... stone cold sober bud. that status will be tweaked around 7pm.
  8. nah....i'm prob a 1/4 to 1/2 bubble off center...... (nice play on words eh?)
  9. clinks mugs together...... BTW, a local charter in my area is REALLY hurting. Talked to a client (that also drives for them on the side) and he said 65 people have no work and they are not booking until early next year..... Hoping you are weathering the storm a little better. Gulp.
  10. did that the other day. Its looking like Bubbles may be in the crosshairs for some auqified love from above if the line out in Somerset holds together. Looking good right now.
  11. I’m in. GFS did look wet in longer range. Wondering how much of it evaporates from the blowtorch next week.
  12. Your retinas are the only thing detached. Never for a second called it fake. Please share proof? Back to putting words in peeps mouth are we? You should have learned not to do that from your time in NE forum. back to weather. Still mostly cloudy here. Pleasant surprise today.
  13. Unfortunately it can/does get ugly sometimes, but as you stated rather eloquently, it carries a lot of emotions and is quite personal for a myriad of reasons, but having said that, there are MANY different stories, and I want to remind people that we live in an era that we typically hear about the bad ones, as they are more "newsworthy", and not the oh he/she recovered so who really cares (like my 92 yr old aunt this is recovered at her LTC facility). One must consider how many have recovered knowingly/unknowingly, and that # (98-99+%) by far and away outnumbers the tragic stories that we read every day (but surely doesn't diminish the sadness of them). That variable will always be the albatross wrt CV 19 and responses thereof. Like it or not, we've all seen or heard about distortion of data, and based on the gravity of those actions, it has been troubling at best. It is happening to varying degrees, and that's concerning. A quick google search supports the validity of that claim. No one should leave any forum butthurt or pissed when "fired upon"... I know I sometimes leave scratching my head in disbelief, or wow...i just learned something, or just take a break when I'm outnumbered/browbeat...or wrong (yes....it can happen...lol). I hate how Voyager likes warmth and will troll him for it (mid winter mind you ), but id gladly drink a beer w/ him, and consider all here my weather pals, and I think he/everyone knows that by now. Whether we think alike or not, its all good, as we learn the most from the ones we have the least in common with, as it broadens ones spectrum of values/beliefs, or self awareness. That IS a good thing. Not sure what happened to the NE covid forum, but a lot of good data was shared, and yes, debated, but a lot of factual stuff was presented, and emotion was kept in check, but I'm guessing it was getting a little to ripe for the mods (i was away when it did). Hang in there gang, we aren't outta da woods by a long shot, but we ARE in it together. Sauss, do a big ol' belly flop for us tonight....sorta feels appropriate for the times.
  14. Yeah, every hour of clouds is a win, and especially for my son who is in heavy equipment/laborer or an excavating company. He said he drank over 2 gal of water yesterday, and came home ass draggin.....
  15. 25% of safety approved capacity is what they are basing off of. Yeah if that includes employees...small venues wont be worth opening the doors. and no....they cannot survive at 25%. What business can? If someone can name one....let me know where to send my resume.
  16. absolutely. Even down here, +1 is not a kiss of death, but just narrows goalposts a bit.
  17. Ogunquit has been my farthest north trip into ME. Honeymoon, and vowed to get back.....before 20 yr anniversary..... I'll celebrate 28 this fall. Still on the list. My god that town is a postcard paradise. You live in a beautiful region. Like you, I often get screwed, but just nw of me can get into the goods, and I'm usually a couple hour drive to snow.
  18. 14-15' was the one i was thinking of. they had a trifecta, and I was doing the Dryslot groan up here. Nada.
  19. bragger......... man i wish i had the leeway to say such things here in the Northern MA. I'm usually a razors edge from jipville I need to find a new wife that likes snow, cause its one of a very few things holding me back from making NE subforum my new home. edit - just thinking about it, maybe weatherfella and I could do a house swap . I'll throw in some extra $$ for the 4 hour car ride to KPIT from my house.
  20. yep. So does the one several years back when they couldnt miss. I think it was back end of 17-18' but don't hold me to it. I"m sure Yoda can chime in to refresh our memories.
  21. based on latitude alone.... You laugh I'm a wee bit nervous he's toast Now watch some anomalous pattern set up and the MA region get a shellackin while we are all smokin cirrus.... that would be a rather painful kick square in the kahunas.
