  1. absolutely. Even down here, +1 is not a kiss of death, but just narrows goalposts a bit.
  2. Ogunquit has been my farthest north trip into ME. Honeymoon, and vowed to get back.....before 20 yr anniversary..... I'll celebrate 28 this fall. Still on the list. My god that town is a postcard paradise. You live in a beautiful region. Like you, I often get screwed, but just nw of me can get into the goods, and I'm usually a couple hour drive to snow.
  3. 14-15' was the one i was thinking of. they had a trifecta, and I was doing the Dryslot groan up here. Nada.
  4. bragger......... man i wish i had the leeway to say such things here in the Northern MA. I'm usually a razors edge from jipville I need to find a new wife that likes snow, cause its one of a very few things holding me back from making NE subforum my new home. edit - just thinking about it, maybe weatherfella and I could do a house swap . I'll throw in some extra $$ for the 4 hour car ride to KPIT from my house.
  5. yep. So does the one several years back when they couldnt miss. I think it was back end of 17-18' but don't hold me to it. I"m sure Yoda can chime in to refresh our memories.
  6. based on latitude alone.... You laugh I'm a wee bit nervous he's toast Now watch some anomalous pattern set up and the MA region get a shellackin while we are all smokin cirrus.... that would be a rather painful kick square in the kahunas.
  7. In other news. GFS op and ens are looking "moist" in eastern half of the country. Not sure based on 500 flow how "moist" it really gets, but yards would approve of 12z's look if verified. My wife LOVES that word....
  8. yeah if hes moving back "my" way, (which i also think he's tippin da sauce too much for considering)...I'd move to somerset/bedford/altoona areas just to the east. They are lake effect regions.
  9. just opened the doors to to the same. Very nice. edit - 66 here in Ephrata
  10. Grew up going to Tuscarora fishing w/ my Poppop when i was a youngster (if you dont remember, my parents were from st clair n pottsville. Last time I was there was for a mtn bike time trial i raced in (moons ago) up off the Burma Rd??
  11. sounds like the skuky precip dome got shoved SW. crazy totals your chalkin up. Schuylkill river must be bustin at the seams.
  12. thats similar to what we looked like prior to the rains. still have a few areas that arent bouncing back, and maybe burnt toast already. Having a couple shallow rock veins below surface is really challenging when trying to keep a nice lawn.
  13. We received 3 bouts of heavy rains over the last 4 days. Didn't expect it but we are lucky and glad to have it. Lawn is alive, but still not healthy. Cant imagine what lawns may look like if one didn't get much from the weekend, and doesn't get much in the next round of heat later this week. Yuk.
  14. we've had steady light to briefly moderate rain since about noon. Yard definitely approves.
  15. fwiw 18z nam just ticked notably west w/ qpf field for this weekend. no drenching rains, but maybe enough for much of the eastern 1/3 of pa to get some lawn love from above. .3-.5 west to east around philly before it ramps up notably.
  16. 81 at 3:30 here in N central Lanco. Sorry pal...I'm all about the respite.... supposed to go for a boat ride down on the susky (pequea ) tonight. they havent called it off yet, but slow moving T boomers may put the kaibosh or cut it short.
  17. My wife just shakes her head as its been my new toy for a while now. Im trying to do it w/o phosphates and all of the bad bay stuff. Couple that w/ 3 shallow rock beds....I lose every year. Boy did it look nice in early June though.
  18. Yeah saw that yesterday. Ugh... my lawn is already showing stress....new grass especially. Bummer.
  19. nice evening on porch last night. Looking forward to another tonight. Hope ya'll are doing well. Nutzers
  20. Yeah, I'll be outside as soon as I can get there. Gotta beg for some business first....:(
  21. My kid will be at cabin with friends. Cant wait to hear how cold it gets on the mountaintop (2300')
  22. Got a lawn watering this am. Looking forward to the nice weekend. Hope y'all are doing well
  23. We've been doing the same. Takeout 2x/week, but our local places know us personally, and I know how tough this has been on them. Were not rich by any means, but were gonna do our part to support them. My birthday was tuesday, so this weekend is a late happybdaytome. lol If my work doesnt start picking up soon.....I'm going to be eating my grass outback and harvesting rabbits n squirrels for supper...heck maybe the groundhog too. Will see how long n ugly business stays. Hoping for better times soon gang.
