Having grown up close to what I'll call the Cumberland valley, I feel like there is an area from Bedford extending northeast towards say Reedsville in Mifflin county and extending south and east towards Chambersburg, Hagerstown, and around there where it's just dry. I used to watch thunderstorms in the summer form around Bedford and split either heading northwest towards Huntingdon or southeast towards their eventual death in Willow Hill. I don't remember a lot of non-tropical system rain during my growth there.

I feel like he tends to be less frequent during the non-winter months unless there is a significant weather event. Apparently it hasn't been hot enough in Bellwood to post.

87°F and sunny. It was cloudy most of the morning. No rain.

I spent the afternoon down in Three Springs. It was showing 103 on the thermometer. The pool water; however, was probably closer to 80. Felt pretty good. As for me, I don't do heat well. I'm definitely feeling the effects. I'll greatly appreciate the coming ice age as predicted in the Book of Tolleris.

I have a two-year-old who loves going on mower rides. We'll find purpose for it.
