    Yes because of the volcano; however, I suspect a tactical nuclear explosion or two somewhere around Kyiv within the next 18 months will probably offset all that.

    A full one third of my yard still has solid snowpack. The 1/3 that gets the most shade of course. In fact, the kids were just playing in it and making snowballs and everything. Color me impressed it held. Curious to see how low we go tonight. 
    That's how mine is. I have one area that never sees the sun that still has like four inches of pack. The sun-touched part is bare ground.

    I once wrestled a Serb called Milo Hrvakic, whose finishing maneuver was a shooting star press. He called it to "Albedoman," because he said it sounded Dalmatian in nature. Milo Hrvakic weighed 375 lbs.

    Anyway, he hit me with the "Albedomen" which broke seven of my ribs. I kicked out, hit him with the Tamaqua Split ("Split" being Croatian chapped this dude's ass big time) and got my hand raised.

    Screw Milo Hrvakic. Milo Hrvakic sucks.

    You're right about how certain things are ingrained in our memories.  In addition to WRVA, I  listed to KDKA in Pittsburgh, KYW in Philadelphia, WBZ in Boston, WCBS in New York, a station in Charlotte that had Accuwx then Greg Fishall (who may still be there), a station in Pocomoke City, MD south of Sby, WGN in Chicago, WFMD out of Frederick, and a small station out of south central PA that I can't remember the call numbers but it was around Gettysburg because they would always advertise Masey Ferguson farm equipment from a dealer in Biglerville. 
    Of course, don't ask me what I had to eat last night because I  can't remember.  Lol
    You forgot the o in lol. That made that last sentence hit hard lol.

    Funny you mentioned old radio. I've been listening to All Night Radio on YouTube for the last week since stumbling on it. This guy has digitally remastered hundreds of hours of old radio. It really was such a great medium of entertainment.

    You just threw your entire generation under an industrial-sized bus. We were told, at any time it was seen as relevant, that you lot walked to school in deeper snow and in colder conditions. Up hill. Both ways.

    If you sit down and watch 10 random movies, 5-6 of them probably have Samuel L Jackson in them. 
    And this three minute video from Huffington post suggests all but Coach Carter have the word "motherfucker" in them lol

    i haven't watched a basketball game since i watched the movie coach Carter
    I saw that one. I saw Samuel L. Jackson on the cover and expected Samuel L. Jackson things, and I've never been more disappointed.

    LOL, a "competitive" game was promised - the competition was who could hit 200 first. Even worse, if possible...the game actually regressed defensively as it went along. 
    I just can't watch it anymore. Any all star game except for baseball, but they're money grabs so they're not going away. If the NBA wants to spice things up and generate some eyeballs, they should introduce prison rules for the All Star Game.

    I’m keeping it gassed up until after Easter this year.
    Where’s [mention=6001]paweather[/mention] ?
    With Easter in late March, we actually could have a realistic chance at Easter snow this year…

    It’s possible, that area would’ve been right in line with the bigger totals further east. There were also 10+ totals reported all the way back in eastern Ohio with a stripe of warning totals just below the Pittsburgh metro.
