My particular spot is almost always missed in both directions. Kinda like the Tamaqua Split.
It's cloudy but not a single drop yet. About an hour ago a storm popped up to the east. Another went to the south. Nothing here.
Meanwhile in the most boring weather section of Pennsylvania, Ridge and Valley Huntingdon county, at least here in the SE part, I don't think it's really rained in the last two weeks. Getting pretty dry around these parts.
This heat wave did what it was supposed to do: It warmed up swimming holes and water parks. Swimming holes are now too warm but the relaxation of the heat will correct that and we should be set for a nice summer of water recreation.
I am now alright with low-mid 80s with the occasional hot one.
Holy Jesus it's oppressive out today. I stepped outside to grab my kid's swim gear after a late night at the park and it felt like I was smashed by an industrial-sized wet towel.
Still better than 55 and rain.
Ten day has a lowest high of 71. You know, for June, I'll take it. I just need the nights to be a bit warmer so the pools/lakes warm up but to not see 50s for daytime highs is nice.
Point and click shows Mechanicsburg at close to 90 this week, Tamaqua in the high 80s, and State College in the mid to high 80s. It does look like summer may be back-loaded, but it's hard to complain about the forecasted temps.
