I am ready to call it a winter. I'll grade it a B. It was winter, temps wise. I don't believe we torched once after Thanksgiving and I'll consider next week's blow torching the announcement of Spring. Had some pretty significant cold. Temps get an A. Precip gets a C. Being in the valley, I believe we have fallen short of everybody around, mostly due to a very, very dry December and early January. Really, really want a strong severe thunderstorm season and none of this "40 and rain" until June nonsense.

It's coming. Just a few more weeks. Hopefully we get a boiler of a spring.

And hopefully hail and severe thunderstorms.

Yeah the temps are not helping. I haven't measured in several hours (first measurement was right after Hughes sent the flappy-heads home sad) but it doesn't look like much more has accumulated and it's been snowing all day.

I am assuming I am on the western side of the inversion. It's been snowing moderately all day. Probably just over 3", which a few days ago is 3" more than I expected.

My opinion on Kyle Elliott is this: I do not subscribe to the "cancel culture" stuff that is alleged to be going on in this country for the last decade or so, but I'm having a serious conversation with Eric Horst about coming back if I am the President of the University. The MU weather account on Twitter has been a straight-up detriment to the department and the institution as a whole over the last two months. And maybe I am overestimating it, but I can see parents of a HS Junior or Senior interested in met and looking at MU's Twitter and saying "Is being a branchie at Penn State really that bad?" As our HR professional already said, he's unhinged and is no longer conducting himself as a professional. That is a problem that could start hurting the bottom line.
